What is the next move, if any until the draft. Other than getting Dez on a long term contract.
Now that McClain is signed. The LB group seems it will be a strength again. Even with Carter and Durant gone, which one or both not a complete surprise. I think it was more wishful thinking we would retain 2 of them and Ro. But with Lee returning, the emergence of Hitchins, Ro, Gackhar and Brinkley, Wilbur. Do they draft a LB higher than 3 or 4.
With Hardy, the emergence of Lawrence, do they still go DE & DT higher in the draft. Which I think they should at both positions, tohugh there is already much competition on the roster. But none that really stand out as that huge difference maker, but possibly can emerge.
Does this make going CB higher now more the priority, as well as RB still [not counting on AP at this time]. I think both CB & S are now in the mix as higher round picks.
OL, wouldn't rule it out.
Players left that were UFA's that were on the roster last year, or PS. Not that it matters right now.
Did Dunbar or Jones sign their RFA tender. I have not seen. And Dez needs to sign his FT tender, but a long term deal is needed as we know.
UFA's left and probably won't be back, or can wait until after the draft. lb J. Anderson, DE J. Crawford & A. Spencer, S CJ Spillman, OG D. Hawkins, OT T. Hills [these 2 were kept on the roster last year for a reason, at the time].
Is Mike Pellerin signed to a reserves / futures contract, I have not seen.
But none of these players stand out, and would be churned most likely anyway. Crawford showed flashes at times though.
So what should the draft strategy be now, without the BPA theory. So BPA based on need.
