Turning a 5-11 team into something respectable while not going into cap hell for the next few years.

Completely turning the entire metro area media against the Cowboys because of his decision to not tell them anything of real importance or letting any asst. coaches speak to them. :lmao:

And what ghst187 said also.

He has gotten rid of the mediocre talent and has drafted and brought in quality players.

If he can do the same with the OL we just might have a SB contender.

Getting rid a a certain QB, who shall remain nameless...

Installing the 3 -4 ...

Making JJ understand his place in the scheme of things...

Being able to have a 27 year old girlfriend?

Dying his hair blonde...

Jumping on the T.O. bandwagon...

Not eating hotdogs during games...

Not carrying guns into airports...

Getting rid of thugs, and bringing in old timers...

Not playing those bum QB's, Henson and romo...

Not taking the team to SeaWorld during training camp...

Oh, there is just so many positive things the Tuna has done...! ;)

success is measured by playoff victories and Parcells doesnt have any yet with Dallas. Honorable mention would be Jason Witten.

If I had to point to one thing that led to all of his other successes while in Dallas, I'd say that it has been his ability to get along with the GM, Jerry Jones. Their successful relationship has been the foundation that allowed them to build the team that we now have today.

I like the youth on the Defense.

I think the unit can really turn into something special.

I think that's a terribly narrow definition of success.

a young and talented defense

Now the only thing missing is a talented DC.

As for BPs success. Well there alota them.

1.Jason Witten
2. Drew Bledsoe
3. Terry Glenn
4. Getting us a real Kicker...finally.
5. Getting us a game changer at WR in T.O.

As much as I was down on Al Johnson last year I will give him this year. He is healthy now and is up to 318 pounds and maybe this will be his year where he does the owning instead gettin owned.

The OL is a question but it could go down as another success for BP.

Putting this team on verge of something special.

Taking a team that when we look back on it, totally honestly, was terrible. We are talking laughing stock terrible. We now are respected.

Letting Jerry know that things need to be done HIS way. When the coach had a powerful voice, there has been success, JIMMY JOHNSON. I think Parcells has tought Jerry that. And after Parcells is gone, I think Jerry understands thsi now more than ever. He saw what happened when he ran the show, 5-11 became common place.

But again, success isn't measured on paper, but in the playoffs. Parcells needs to win a playoff game or two. Otherwise he just survived on his reputation. He has built a team capable of winning, now it's time for it to translate in on-field perfomance. If he doesn't get some games in late January around here, I think his tenure can be viewed as a failure. He's here to do one thing, win a Super Bowl. Everyone knows that.

Winning two Super Bowls IMO.....OH, signing my Mask......you can barely see it beside the star....blank ink!

That was a great experience......actually getting to talk with Bill Parcells.

- Rebuilding a team that was woeful in talent.
- Understanding that the way to rebuild a team is through the draft.
- Not panicking and taking a Commanders approach to rebuilding a team.
- Understanding that you should properly groom quarterbacks and not rush them into service, damaging them and your team.

Not sure if you mean in his career or while coach of the Cowboys, but I will assume the latter.

Bill Parcells took a team that had Quincy Carter as the starting quarterback and Troy Hambrick as the starting running back to 10-6 and a playoff birth. Think on that for awhile.

something not mentioned yet that IMO is probably the greatest thing he has done: Surrounded Youthful Talent with older "former" stars for them to learn from. Drew Bledsoe looked to be a bad pickup when we first got him, but look what he has done for this team? yes, hes not here to stay, but he is a big part of what brings this pretty young team together.
