I've been looking on several websites, and have not found that particular stat. The record is the cheater Brady at 355, curiously missing the asterisk.

I don't have it handy, but I think Dak could pass Romo this week with about 20 attempts.

Not sure, will have to look it up

I think the Cowboys marks are
  1. Aikman 228 (7 TDs?)
  2. Aikman 184 (? TDs)
  3. Romo 174 (13 TDs)
  4. Prescott 155 (4 TDs)

I think the NFL records are between Rodgers and Brady for pick-less streaks.

Thanks, did you get this from memory or is it a website somewhere?

A shocker is that Alex Smith went 312 attempts without a pick. 3rd all-time.

What's amazing about the Brady and Rodgers streaks are that they include a ton of TDs passes. WAY more difficult to press the issue in the endzone and still not get picked.
I don't have the number, but my guess is that Alex Smith didn't have near the TDs that they had.

We had it in a post a week or so ago and it was from an article in ESPN, I think.
I was going by memory from that post....I couldn't recall the Aikman TDs.
Percy followed up the attempt numbers though, so it was legit.
I think the stats guys may have a link for you.

If those TD numbers are right, man, Tony is a beast.

I think it was 2013.
Not sure, but I think the defense was the worst in Dallas history, statistically. The offesne had to be aggressive just to keep up.

I want him to throw a meaningless pick to get this over with.

Dak hasn't thrown one because (a) he takes almost no chances, and (b) he's been lucky some have been dropped.
Yeah, maybe a 3rd down bomb, punt/pass, or something where the field position or downs aren't affected.

Dallas hasn't trailed late in games very often this year, so the probably goes way down.
Dak managed that drive with about 5 minutes to go vs Washington pretty well, while Dallas was trailing. It wasn't their last possession, but Dallas did take the lead.
It's been pretty cozy the last 3 games.

That sounds about right. Just throw an interception for the heck of it. Don't keep doing what you have been doing which is play winning football. You know, Dak plays every snap with the record in mind.

It was 2013 and the streak ended after Tony tore up DEN for 3+ quarters........DEN finally tied up the game 48-48 and Tony was picked by a LB, stunting the comeback

Not a surprise. Alex and Dak are very similar in how they play (Same college coach - coordinator for Alex). Dak may be better. Her certainly has the better supporting cast.

I agree. They seem very similar. Didn't realize they had the same coordinator.

Didn't Smith go like half a season without a pass to a WR.so not a big surprise. Maybe one of these banner ads can tell me

The Chiefs went 2014 without a TD to a receiver (spurring them to sign Maclin last year). I don't think he went a half season without a pass to one.

LOL if it was 2013 they were 8-8 , so not much of a beast.
Thats just it Tony can go 8-8 3 years in a row, and have great personal stats, lots of td's etc.
But I would rather have a guy like dak who just wins, who cares what his stats are if he wins every week?

I think some cowboy fans would rather see romo throw to dez for some circus catches, and be 11-5, rather than
be 14-2 and no long td's and circus acts.

Drug a 3-13 or 4-12 team--one with the worst defense in Dallas history (32nd ranked)-- kicking and screaming to 8-7 and on the brink of the playoffs.
Game-winning drive in game 15 to help beat the Skins and put them in position....but also with the herniated disc.
Then the team lost to the eagles in game 16 with Orton..
Yes, Romo was good.

Those 8-8 teams were horrible.
