What is he doing here lol

The guys just continues to ignore/mess up on his assignment.
Is Fowler still slightly injured or something? Now way Sam should get more snaps than any other DE.

Looks like he at least tried to ruff someone up after the play unnecessarily oh wait...

I see three defensive linemen causing issues for the Raiders.... and Sam Williams just doing some kind of slow dance with a guard.

Oh he’s 100% gone

Give his snaps to Clowney, Houston and Fowler
I couldn't agree more. Just started my own Houston thread - wondering why he isn't higher up on the depth chart.
Sam has done nothing. Even worse, he's a stupid penalty waiting to happen. I thought he was going to be a big time pass rusher. I expected him to step up big after the Parsons trade. What a huge disappointment he is.
I have him behind EZE, Houston, Clowney and Fowler on my depth chart, but Cowboys have him high and he keeps getting to play more than others for some reason. As far as Im concerned, they could have shipped him out to the Jets with Mazi. 2 failures gone.

Better DTs and some of the edge guys looking better like EZ. Plus Clowney getting more snaps.

Someone has to get less reps. Maybe same is the odd man out right now.

Seem to indicate earlier that they were trying to dumb down the defense for some of the players. Maybe that is sam's problem.

I did notice that the secondary did not look as lost last night but then again the Raiders passing game was through the TEs and the RB.

I hate this saying because it's so ESPN, but Sam Williams really is a losing football player.

When you screw up your assignment, it has a spillover effect that hurts the entire defense. When you commit a penalty, it obviously hurts the entire defense. You almost can't be productive enough individually to make up for committing those kinds of mistakes.

Williams played it wrong so many times yesterday and has demonstrated little ability to contain the edge or pick the right spot to pursue the play. He seemed to be getting pressure more earlier in the year, but not so much now.

He was good in college. But I think he is an example of winning reps in college based on strength and not refined technique to go with it. It doesn’t look like he has progressed.

Yeah, I was thinking "Well it's just the Raiders offense" but then thought back to how we've made every QB look like a hall of famer this year. I can't forget how Russel Wilson torched our defense and had his best game in years lol. Then the very next game he looks like garbage and is benched for Jaxson Dart.

This is why Jimmy Johnson did not draft dumb players. Stupidity negates Talent every single time. How many more players do we need to draft, especially in the second round, before we learn. And Jaylon Smith is added to that list. He was as dumb as Williams and he had a destroyed knee.

Gregory was the worst at that and Jerry was ready to hand him another contract.

If Payton Turner ever comes back this season, I predict Sam gets cut to bring him on the roster.
