Let me preface this by saying that I LOVED DOWNS.

What I am trying to understand is. What in the actual you know what is the plan at LB?

Now not only will the green dot in this defense be a rookie, a 3rd to 7th rounder rookie is supposed to do that job?

Are they trading into the second for Rodriguez or Hill? Are they hoping that CJ Allens pro day makes him fall to the third? What is the plan? Because unless Downs can play MLB we are in trouble there.

A trade for a veteran after draft.

There's none unfortunately.
It's all a In Parker We Trust coach 'em up strategy.

What if we traded pickens to Miami for 3 3's. Then trade 2 3s and a 4 to someone for a 2. yes very Madden trading.

This team had a lot of holes. I doubt there is some grand plan to fix all of them in one offseason. They will try. If not, so what? They still sell out all the games. Not like the expectations are high in Dallas.

Wagner is the perfect fit. Provides a cerebral playmaker at the second level to compliment Q Williams and Caleb Downs at the 1st and 3rd levels respectively. I'd like to see a move into the late 2nd if someone falls to fill the other ILB spot. This defense is really coming together, and I'm all for it.

if they can't get into the 2nd round, they may have a trade in place for brooks from Mia. Hence the business partner in round 1

I hope it is trading for Brooks, with what we did round 1, you add Brooks (All-Pro) you have a legit defense.

But I could also seeing us go Wagner which helps but does not turn the dial as much as Brooks.

I think CP is going to have the iLB's have less responsibility in coverage, going to be focused moving down hill. So could get away with a guy like Wagner.

Truthfully? I think it’s the same plan as last year with receiver. Follow their board and see who falls to them. If no one does they draft someone late and trade for a vet,
