Find that a team that would take him. Then go to Dak and make it clear that he doesn't agree to the trade, Dallas will draft QB1 and Dak will play backup. That's what I would do... I'd rather be actively looking for the answer than just muddling through for a few years. Jerry will never do this.

Your best bet is a medically induced coma for at least 2 years. He's not going anywhere with that contract.
This.

The only realistic option is Dak or a mid/late round draft pick flier selection for young QB.

We must…must…must draft a QB every year now.

I don’t care what round but it’s been proven a hundred times that finding a QB is not a proven science and a 6th round pick can become the greatest of all time but you at least have to give your team and fan base some hope.

Gotta hang in there 2 more seasons. But that's where you learn to make the most of it and get his successor ready to sit for those 1-2 years. There will be QBs available in the first two rounds of the 2023-24 Draft.

A year from now we are likely facing the same end-of-season results so Jerry will be all the way out on Dak.

Same as it is to escape the Jones Boyz era--plane wreck.

but a team like the Jets would be willing to take him and not need to unload another contract
Yea true. Either way Dak isn't waving his no trade clause. We are stuck with him. Any decent QB's that might be available in the 20s?

I wouldn't go for a Carr or Rodgers.. They aren't a big enough upgrade on Dak (at this point in their careers) to justify the contract. And it just means we are spending way too much on one position.

I think you go to the draft and commit to taking a QB in Round 1 and in Round 3 and in a late round. Do that again next year too (possibly instead of first and third you take a second and fourth).

Essentially go and get 4-5 guys and really invest in finding the long term solution.

Hopefully they develop in 1-3 years (like a lot of the modern young guns have) and you get another shot with Parsons and Co.

We need a timeline of implementation. I love the guy- it's just not going to happen for him in Dallas. So let's move swiftly.

What are we facing?

Q2:

**Would anyone be supportive of sending a #1 to SF for Trey Lance if the 49ers win the SB?**
Trey Lance??? Does anyone here think Trey Lance is better than Dak? Please God tell me no.

I would draft Tanner McKee in the second round. I would love to see what McCarthy could do with him. Guy can play and really throw it but was on a terrible Stanford team the last couple years. That guy might be available and actually worth a pick.

I would be for this but I'm not sending a #1
