Find that a team that would take him. Then go to Dak and make it clear that he doesn't agree to the trade, Dallas will draft QB1 and Dak will play backup. That's what I would do... I'd rather be actively looking for the answer than just muddling through for a few years. Jerry will never do this.
My plan:

1) Offer SF two #2''s: 1 in 2023 and 1 in 2025 for Lance.

2) Hire Greg Roman as OC

Otherwise:

I think we should draft a QB in the 2nd Rd this spring @ the latest with eyes on getting him on the field ASAP. I'm also over hurt feelings, so I'm being clear with Dak he is now infeed fighting for the QB1 position.

I'm also releasing Cooper Rush. Any QB that I feel cannot potentially win a SB with? I'm out on moving forward.

Rush can win games, but over 17 games Dak can LIKELY win more.

Tie breaker: we are stuck with Dak financially so he gets the nod.

We will restructure and extend Daks contract and push millions into future years. Get ready for it. Dak will be here for another 4 to 5 years.

I really think most on this zone think it is so easy to get a elite QB. There are probably only about 8 teams that feel secure about their QB position in the entire league. I don’t think Prescott is near elite and we probably won’t when a Super Bowl with him if I’m honest because of Mahomes and Burrow but I would rather have Prescott then go back to the Quincy Carter, Drew Henson, Chad Hutchinson days. The best way forward is stop thinking he is elite and give him weapons so his life is easier and doesn’t feel the need to be aggressive. The only other option is to basically be mediocre the next two years and waste talent like Parsons. It is more likely he is extended then traded or cut to make the cap more manageable.

Yes, but it doesn’t answer it with any common sense. We don’t have the money. We still have to pay Prescott.
Sign a UFA after the draft and throw him in there. 2024/2025 number one pick incoming. OP wants rid of Dak: This is the only way it's happening. Do I agree? Of course not: I say ride with Dak, build a killer defense and a mauling OL, and win like the Dilfer led Ravens and the Brad Johnson led Bucs did.

I honestly think our most realistic path is for him to miss extended time and a young draft pick steps in and plays well. Like he did with Romo.

We need a timeline of implementation. I love the guy- it's just not going to happen for him in Dallas. So let's move swiftly.

What are we facing?

Q2:

**Would anyone be supportive of sending a #1 to SF for Trey Lance if the 49ers win the SB?**
Force a trade! Bench him until he says UNCLE! Start anyone not named Prescot! After yesterday's implosion you can bet Prescot has lost the important ones in the locker room.

I wouldn't go for a Carr or Rodgers.. They aren't a big enough upgrade on Dak (at this point in their careers) to justify the contract. And it just means we are spending way too much on one position.

I think you go to the draft and commit to taking a QB in Round 1 and in Round 3 and in a late round. Do that again next year too (possibly instead of first and third you take a second and fourth).

Essentially go and get 4-5 guys and really invest in finding the long term solution.

Hopefully they develop in 1-3 years (like a lot of the modern young guns have) and you get another shot with Parsons and Co.
Except this team hasn’t drafted a first round QB since Aikman. 34 years years ago.

He'll be here next year, but if we can really cut him post June 1st next season with only a 18 mil hit. Then thats got to happen.

Unless he leads us to an NFC title game next year his career here is done.

The team is already seemingly growing sick of his poor play. Another season of that aint gonna cut it.

Draft his replacement now, let the guy sit. I think in the nfl Quarterback evaluation is so random. But if someone falls late first who we love, I say go for it.

But this Is also the team that loved Paxton Lynch so what do I know.

Your best bet is a medically induced coma for at least 2 years. He's not going anywhere with that contract.

As much as Jerry likes to think of himself as businessman, he sure is awful at negotiating. They get fleeced by just about everyone.

Zeke did it. Dak did it. And tank did it too. Tank even refused surgery without
a new deal.
He could still be benched and be the most overpaid backup in the league. Meanwhile you sign a stop-gap veteran and draft a QB.

Fire Kellen , and Prescott wont be the same.

Guaranteed .

I'd love to see him with another coordinator. Many here say KM is hamstrung by Dak, but I see Dak throwing into a ton of tight windows and minimal yac.

I'd love to see something that focuses more on crossing and intermediate routes. I did like how Dak ran the ball more during the post season. I'd like to see him on the move more.

Dak can win a Superbowl if he had more than 1 WR to throw to, a better OL to help the run game and protect him, some DT’s to stop the run and some depth at CB and LB. You’ve been sucked by all the lazy posters blaming it all on Dak. I get it, it’s the lazy way out. Y’all have to have someone to blame so you pick the easy target.

The answer is so clear....Zach Wilson.

This eras Brett Farve....just save him from the NYJ blackhole...of QB death.
