What Is The Min You Will Accept Out Of The Boys Next Year?

Until we go thru FA and the draft, I have no opinion/expectations whatsoever.

Huh? What choice do I have? I'll "accept" what they give me. What are you guys gonna do if they don't meet your "min requirements"? Post threads about Bill's man-boobs?

You can't really ask for anything but a record and some stats, even there, that's stretching it... because we wont know jack anything until about 365 days from now anyway...

I voted for divisional win only, but in reality... not you Reality... I'd like to see at least 11-5 and be dominant on defense... that means TOP 3... AND TOP 3 in sacks... That area has got to improve... It absolutely has to for any success winning the turnover battle...

On offense, I want to see the Cowboys lead the league in rushing... don't matter how... YPC, YPG, etc. It was a little disheartening to lead the league in TOP, and total offensive plays and have nothing in the running game to show for it... hence the 9-7 record and playoff absence.

I think the expectation will be high for this team. Playoffs should be expected as well as some success in the playoffs. It is hard to know which team will make the SB that normally goes to the teams who are playing the best late in the season.

Isn't a conference title game win and a super bowl loss the same minimal outcome?

I am kind of curious with all the banter back and forth between those who are critical of BP and those who are not. I would like to know what the general populace would find acceptable next year.

I know that free agency and the draft has not occured yet, but that is the point. This should not be a reaction to what Dallas accomplished in the offseason, but more of a expectation of what should be accomplished during FA, draft, and another offseason under Bill's belt here in Dallas.

Anything less than 11-5 and a division title would be a disappointment. This team has made progress personnel-wise so it's time to reflect that record-wise.

Wild Card or Division Title - 1 Or 2 Wins But No Title Game

That's what my goal is or the season is a failure- do I think it happens: NO.

I think the much more appropriate question is: What you guys will do when the Cowboys fail to meet your unrealistic expectations? Will you:

a) ***** and moan about Parcells on these boards?
b) Hit your wife or kids?
c) Drink too much?
d) Shoot up your office (much like disgruntled postal workers)?
e) Come on these boards and laugh?

You forgot option f: Shrug your shoulders and say, "Oh well, it's just spectator football...."

I did forget that... good catch.
Honestly, who cares what I would "accept"? I'm a freakin fan. It's not like I can fire anyone. If they lose, I'll go to the fridge, get a beer, call up one of my friends, go to bar, and try to pick up an Asian chick. Life goes on.

Maybe it's me, but after all the years of malaise, I hesitate to go SB or bust.

So for now, I'll be ok with a playoff appearance by any means necessary. Wildcard, division title, whatever.

A win or two would just be gravy.

I just thought I'd point out that if you win two (2) playoff games you ARE going to the Title game.

But I picked this one anyway since I'd be happy with a playoff win to prove that we are true contenders. Not "satisfied"...but happy.

I want a win in the playoffs. We had that playoff appearance two years ago when we limped into the playoffs and got a tails handed to us by Carolina. That was about as satisfying as kissing your sister; it meant nothing (unless you are a Philly fan). :D

no excuse not to make a wildcard, potential is there...

Title game. At least.

Not just a pipe dream, I think this team can be THAT good.

Or a Skins fan, satisfied with the weakest playoff victory of all time.

Or a Cowboys fan, suffering from serious "Commander-Danny-Envy" issues.
