in his press conference on DC.com Romo alludes to the team changing something (presumably after Philly) that's made a world of difference.

Anyone got a clue what it is? Cole Beasely?

yeah i saw that. he was pretty big on the change. not sure what it is, but its definitely something in the passing game. seems like something related to the # of routes over the middle to me.

I think we've seen them do a lot of things. I think they've used Dez more in the slot. They've used Beasley more. They've used the middle of the field more. They've used no back formations in situations that weren't must pass downs.

Good points. A ton of no back, shotgun formations. Seems like the O scheme changed quite a bit in terms of the passing attack.

They have really been using routes that take them into the middle of the field quite a bit the last few weeks.

It makes perfect sense to do this with all the attention the LBs have to pay to the running game and all the attention the Safeties have to pay to Dez that lots of room should be available over the middle.

I think it is actually using the whole field mainly the middle of the field. We actually have wr's threating the middle of the field. Im starting to like the empty set also. Romo is killing it in the empty.

I seriously think Linehan has COMPLETELY taken over the offense now and it is clicking. That's my guess.

If we look at the common denominator over the past few weeks, it's been using Witten and Beasley on combo routes over the middle. It's been giving defenses fits.

Don't short change Escobar he has gotten a couple targets over the middle as well :)

I think Linehan and Romo have connected in what they want to call and setting up plays.

What we are seeing is a very aggressive passing attack vertically down the field.

Earlier in the season..

Romo was not in shape and only threw short to medium passes.

Now they have figured out how to dictate matchups to attack the defense.

What else I'm noticing is that we quickly attack a position once a starter on the other team's gone out.

If it a DL..

we run the ball at the replacement.

If its a safety..

we throw to TE.

If its a CB..we immediately go over the top.

So the change is higher and faster evaluation from upstairs and quicker implementation of a probe of the replacement.

This is what I'm seeing.

Make any sense to you guys?
