Yup. I don't remember anyone even talking about him, much less overhyping.Who was hyping him? I dont recall anyone ever declaring him a potential starter or anything like that

You are correct. However, Cowboys fans think every pick that doesn’t yield a Pro Bowl caliber pick is a bust.He was a 5th rounder who is still in the roster heading into year 4. Thats not bad value for the pick

This is one reason why we are widely considered one of the least intelligent fan bases
I think they will keep Richards and let Matt walk. Richards I thought looked fairly solid for a guy with few repsSomeone is going to grab Richards as a cheap FA and have a steal of a decent starting tackle.
Played well from what I can tell. As of right now, not only is he better than Waletzko, but he is better than Guyton also.
Watch and see if this team doesn’t start its third best LT this year just because.
Richards I think has good potentialAsim Richards Ethan Thomas Rob Jones all moved ahead of Waletzco .
I agree. I thought he filled in well and is a capable player. Hope they figure a way to retain him but doubtful. Someone is gonna notice they can get a starting tackle for a reasonable cost because he rarely played.I think they will keep Richards and let Matt walk. Cowboys projected him as a future starter when they drafted him.Richards I think has good potential
that wasn't my question. There are lots of talented 5th rounders.
He had multiple shoulder injuries / surgeries. I think last season was first one that he remained healthy. Active 7 games in 2024.What is the word with guy?
There’s times I actually forget he’s on the roster. Yet, here we are, he’s entering into his fourth season.
You never read/hear any rumblings about him like “coaching staff really feels Waletzko has turned the corner…Waletzko pushing for playing time…” If this guy could develop into our primary swing tackle I’d count it as a win.

And then there's the even less intelligent ones who think a draftee that never plays is a success. You are correct. However, Cowboys fans think every pick that doesn’t yield a Pro Bowl caliber pick is a bust.

I don't think there is any room for him on the 53. If he didn't get picked up by another team though he would make a good practice squad player.Waletzko hasn't been able to start in the last 4 years and holding. It seems very questionable whether or not he'll ever be able to start at this juncture. Time might not be on his side. It's anyone's guess whether he'll be able to stick around much longer. I haven't seen that he's likely to ever be a valuable backup. Perhaps it's quite possible that the Turk might be knocking on his door, unless he displays talents that he hasn't shown by now.
Who?What is the word with guy?
