What is truly needed to fix the trenches-Offense?

Playoffs have always been about run games and defense. I don't know where people come up with hyping these receiving weapons up.
It has been a passing league where the run game has recently returned as teams have started to play that shell defense to take away the pass

Not in the playoffs. You're thinking regular season. When have the deep playoffs been high flying?

I saw enough from our backup OL to feel good about seth we just need the young guys to continue to develop improve. I’m not using another 1st on an OL player. 2nd and beyond if it’s clear cut BPA? Sure.

I’m fine cutting Steele as long as the team thinks Richards can be an upgrade but a little risky.

As the OL gets a little better the running game gets better. Get some fresh legs and a coaching upgrade would help.
Hard to cut Steele when there is an oline shortage league wide.

The Bills actually won more on Allen's legs than his arm. Interesting.

-our two starting tackles are among the league worst in the entire league. One is in the developmental stage, where the other is maxed out and already signed an extension.

Should Steele be cut this offseason? Can Richards ascend to become the starter? Should they target a starter in the draft?

-Can they run the football against the elite teams, can they score more rushing TD's? This has been an issue since Zeke broke down. Reason why they struggled so much against the 49ers for several years is cause they just couldn't run the ball at all against them, became one dimensional.

Scheme has to change, also need to upgrade the running back room and perhaps finding a quality replacement for Zach Martin who maybe retiring this offseason.

Draft Targets: Banks Texas. Best G/T in the class.

Personally, want to see our younger prospects perform in a starting role, before adding another high level lineman, but if Banks is there, will be hard to pass him up, especially if Zach Martin retires.
Personally Im all in favor of the Tylers at OT and Hoffman, Bass and Richards battling it out for the two OG spots. I think Richards would be a better pro OG than OT.

I love Banks as a prospect, and dont hate the idea of drafting. Just prefer using that pick on the front 4. If we draft Banks, he is my LT

If they draft a LT Guyton makes sense at RT considering he played it in college
LOL...this is Jerry we are talking about and there's no way in hell he's goin go admitt Guyton at LT is a mistake this early. Not happening

There needs to be a heavy emphasis on fixing the running game. I like the young pieces there is on the OL. Is there depth available to replace Steele? I think there is. We've seen the best Steele has to offer and it's just not good enough. His salary is to high to be a backup so he likely gets cut. Just add a vet (I know I know) or draft a OL but I'm not doing that until the 3rd at the earliest. Fixing the personal on the OL isn't that hard.

The running scheme needs changed. I'd like to see Solari replaced and Blasko if necessary. We all watch other teams play and it's clear the Cowboys running game lacks imagination or creativity at times. We also need better play calling. Impossible to tell what will happen at HC but it felt like the game had passed McCarthy by at times.

Lastly, the Cowboys need to add at least one RB. No more Zeke. No more Cook. There are enough good one to get one this draft. Also bring in a good vet. It won't take that much effort to fix the running game. The Cowboys just need to put in the effort and we will all see a better game next year.

It’d be nice to see some new run fits.

Also this G class is absolutely loaded…one of the best I can remember. I think there is a good chance you can get another Beebe type player in the 3rd and let him compete with the youngsters.

I would like to give a year to our young prospects to see if they can play well as starters before spending more high picks for the positional group. We have to fix our run defense and add more juice to our offense.

I agree but I wouldn't hate a Banks pick either. I wasn't enthused about Martin in 2014. I wanted a defender

Agree fixing the scheme, play calling and then the rb room is the priority. The front office has to also add some veterans to the mix

I actually was impressed by Hoffman and what he brought to the lineup. My biggest concern up front are our two starting tackles, hate to move Tyler as he is an answer to the best DT’s we face in the division. I would add a veteran swing type and release Steele.

They have to upgrade the scheme and overhaul the running back room.

It Guyton isnt the awnser at LT, then I dont know if we have a better choice. Dont know that Im sold on Asim at LT. And if your LT is bad, its very hard to win

Tyler was also a penalty machine as a rookie, our hope is Guyton improves with more development. If they do release Steele, you are going to have to sign a veteran. That could be a starter or more of a swing tackle who has starting experience. We cannot keep on drafting 1st rd lineman, got to develop these prospects to take over starting positions. Continuity is the key and now Tyron/Martin are gone, this is possible.

My guess is if they cut Steele, Richards would be the RT. I really dont see them signing a starting OT in FA. Willis is very interesting though. Hasn't lived up to his potential since his rookie year. He will still likely be expensive though

Knowing how the Cowboys operate, we could expect to see another Edoka type of signing. More of an veteran swing type at a low cost. Allow Richards, this fa and even Nathan Thomas to compete to become the starter.
