What is wrong with Irving?

Every other team in the NFL, seems their concussed players return to the game, or the next week.
Our concussed players, it is season ending IR or at least several weeks or so.

There's no need to panic at this point -- it's early yet. I tend to expect he'll be back next week, if not this one. Teams right now are rightfully taking care to err on the side of caution, rather than being over-zealous and returning players to action prematurely. I'd bet he'll be fine in due time.

Good thing they don't do to boxers what they do to football players. The fight would be over after the first solid punch landed.

I understand our main concerns as fans....but this is big dollars for owners...and life or death for players. We are frustrated because as fans...wins and losses have taken a backseat to a lot of "stuff"....but with the amount of money associated with the modern day NFL...wins and losses are only a "part" of it.

Understand what game is being played...then decide how you want to proceed with your fandom!

Every concussion is different.
It's an injury to your brain.
Not a standard injury you can easily diagnose.

Long time to recover from a concussion. Should we be worried?
His cabbage got rattled. Not everyone reacts the same because not all concussions are the same. You see what it did to Rico Gathers. And then their are players like Russell Wilson that bounce right back from a concussion. It can be a serious injury so I'd be worried about Irving.

Does the brain ever truly heal?
Brain damage is brain damage, the brain never truly heals in the aspect that it will never be the same as it was before a concussion. The brain does reorganize itself to function as best it can so a so called "full recovery" is possible but in reality the brain damage is still there. @Doc50 how'd I do?

A well-taken point. Some end up being punchy or vaguely approaching that level. To be sure, it's no easy life.

Does the brain ever truly heal?

Once you get a concussion, you are then more susceptible to having more from lesser hits supposedly. But probably dependent on the severity as well.

The problem with Irving is that it's a Tale of two cities, everything north of Northgate is awesome, new, modern, fresh everything south of Northgate needs to be torn down.
