What is wrong with this Defense???? *Merge*

it was just alot of half ***** play and alot of missed tackles

Case in point it seemed like everytime I saw scandrick he was completely missing the tackle or being shrugged off

The only person I saw that looked like they were playing for real was ratliff he was great lastnight

From what I can see they are soft, play with little passion and cannot execute the basic fundamentals. You rarely see any of the corners touch anyone inside five yards and there blitzes seem predicatable. Maybe marshmellow Phillips should consider using the Jets "scramble" defense and make his corners play physical (if he knows the word) at the line of scrimmage.

We don't have a coordinator who can focus 100% on the defense only. There has to be a reason 31 other teams have a DC, OC, and HC.


Jerry probably didn't want to hire one only to fire him after this year. Lame ducks all around.

I think this defense can either:

apply pressure and give up big runs (tampa)
or
stay in the running lanes and let the qb beat you (NYG).

Not both.

They chose to not let the running game beat them and take a chance the Eli and the receivers would not win the game.

It was the bright lights ,cameras that paralyzed the d-fense. Bobby Carpenter played pretty good and was in on alot of tackles. That phantom call on defense holding. There was a couple phantom calls that really killed the Cowboys.

He was getting doubled and tripled all night long with nobody on the other side thats a proven and effective pass rusher they just take him out of the game

Though if the secondary could hold their own he would have more time to shed the blocks and get after it

We have 2 above average players in our front 7. Rest are below avg. or mediocre. Simple as that.

They gameplanned him and took him out w/ doubleteams all night. The other 10 should have been able to contribute in this situation.

The defense flat out is not smart. Two of the key mental positions on our D are manned by mental midgets, MLB and FS. (Bradie James and Ken Hamlin)

The defense has raw talent which is great and all, but when it's not accompanied by football IQ it's full of lapses.

In Romo's 1st pick yesterday, you got Antonio Pierce blatantly listening to the calls at the line and making adjustments. He basically knows our offense as good as any player on our team.

Our team dating back to the Parcells era has always tried to just be a defense that wins heads up battles, nothing fancy. I see smart plays made on defense around the league watching other games and wonder what Dallas' defense could be if it had smarter players.

I would like to see a return to the 4-3, but, that is just me. Never been a fan of the 3-4, and I don't think it has gotten Dallas closer to the main goal.

Just like teams figuring out how to stop T.O., expect teams to do this with Ware all year long.
