What is your confidence level in Dunbar/Randle/Williams to tote the rock?

on a scale of 1-10 with this offensive line:

Randle: 9
Dunbar: 8
Williams: 8

To the OP, my adjusted numbers are below.

on a scale of 1-10 with this offensive line:

Randle: 6
Dunbar: 5
Williams: 5

Carrying the load is different than spot duty. If DeMarco goes down (and I have zero reason to believe he will) we would lose multiple phases in one player. I'll just go back to highlighing blitz pickup. I saw plenty more in terms of cerebral blitz pickup from DeMarco in the Gnats game. Lose that and the door opens for Romo to potentially go down.

I'm not worried though. With DeMarco, that Oline, and Linehan.. Barry's 14 game steak is in danger.

Will be seeing a lot of dunbar as a check down option if murray goes down because they'll just be passing. From the standpoint of traditional running though, randle would be the best option of course.

These guys better give Murray a real break
If we keep running Murray at the current rate we will be in trouble in the playoffs

I think Randle could handle the running load if needed. Certainly not as well as Murray, but sufficient. I would be much more concerned about pass blocking. I don't feel anywhere near as comfortable with either Randle or Dunbar back there as I do Murray.

pretty much how i feel....a drop off, sure, but this team shouldnt really get stopped dead in their tracks or anything

I have little confidence in Dunbar, lets say a 4 on the 1-10 scale. 6 for the Underwear Bandit, and 5 for Williams. Like another member already said, it's Air Romo time if Murray goes down.

No Williams because they say he can't pick up the blitz and if he gets romo season cut short. Forget winning in the playoffs.

Randle is probably the next man up. He is more shifty so he may have longer runs. but I don't think he breaks tackles like Murray and he might not be a good short yardage guy - still I think he would carry the load with Dunbar getting work as 3rd down back

Murray goes down we go air Romo.

I do not want to see that happen because we have seen that show before and it has not ended well. romo is playing the best football in long time because of the running game.

That's exactly right and why no one want's to se it happen. I'm afraid the coaches would put the games right back on Tony's back.

Who is Williams and why are so many touting him as such a good runner? I don't follow college football, UNLV; so I don't have a clue about this guy and why he is only on the PS.

Randle has looked good in the chances he's got, Dunbar is a good runner and great on screen/passed. It's a drop off in talent but nothing that would cripple us.
