For pico de gallo or a hot salsa?

I'd like any advice you've got for making a hot salsa. Granted, I've tried the ghost chili before at a Chinese restaurant and it was a bit spicy for me. Delicious though

I had a smoked porter this weekend at a beer hall here in NY, and I totally fell in love.

As far as shopping, the only odd thing I absolutely have to have in stock is cookie dough ice cream.

I'm new to beer, but dang, some of them can be absolutely tasty.

Okay, I definitely think roasting the peppers adds heat. So I like to dice a dozen jalapeños, 3 habañeros, and 2 serrano peppers together and then put them in a skillet and heat them up while stirring.

Then I add a diced onion, a clove of diced garlic, and 6 to 8 diced red tomatoes depending upon your favorite. I like Roma tomatoes personally so I use 8. Squeeze in the juice from 2 limes, add a teaspoon of salt, some ground black pepper, and if you like cilantro sprinkle a little in it. Stir it all together and let it chill.

It is good with the peppers still warm, but better once chilled.

Same as about but cut the jalapeños in half and eliminate the habañeros. Instead of serrano peppers use some Anaheims.

If I go to Krogers, I always get gift cards, particularly Amazon.

We get 2x fuel points, so I get $100 amazon gift card and get $.20 off per gallon. I usually accrue enough to get $1 off per gallon, then get a couple cars together (since it's 35 gallons max).

So basically $500 amazon/AMEX/shell gift card - 6% cashback on my AMEX card - $35 in gas = $65 saved.

Huh, interesting, I never knew you put ground black pepper in a salsa (but i've never made one before).

I've gotten used to spiciness...my parents are Indian, so my mom puts so much pepper in everything. Most of the time, when I cried, it was because of the epic spiciness of my mom's curries.

But, I guess I'm better for it. I can eat really great things despite the heat, and I've even come to enjoy the heat.

Oh man, I had some curry and lamb one time that lit my world on fire. I enjoyed every second of it.
