What kind of RB do you prefer?

...dont think it matters anymore. We just need Capable runners that will get positive yardage and keep moving the chains.

Everything else frosting on the cake. The days of Elite runners are gone. We need combo package to help Dak.
No, it matters, and it matters a lot. Barkely and Henry are elite, funny how they were both in the super bowl. I think you've bought too much into BSPN drama about RBs.

I would have preferred Hampton, Judkins, Giddens, Martinez etc!
We got speedy Gonzalez meets Mighty Mouse and a poor man’s Marion the Barbarian!

A do-it-all back. The RB I wanted in this past draft was Jeanty. I believe Jeanty is a legit RB1. He can run over people, he can outrun people, he can break tackles, he can catch, he can block. He is a RB1. Jeanty is Marshawn Lynch.

I want a RB1. And really, I think every team wants a RB1. It seems like teams use a “running back by committee” approach when they don’t have a RB1 and want to avoid talking about it.

One of the reasons I wanted Giddens after Blue is because I think Giddens can do it all relatively well, and Blue would be a legitimately insane RB2.

I guess I take the bell cow in this scenario. But I think you need both, in the modern NFL.

Adrian Peterson. Dude would have broke the rushing record had he not missed multiple seasons from injury and off the field conduct. Teams would stack 8 in the box and it didnt matter

I am intrigued by our draft picks. One can take a crease to the house. One is probably limited to about 30 yard gains but is going to deliver some pain to defenders on every run.

So, which do you prefer? The homerun hitter is flashy and delivers that euphoric high. The bell cow churns out those positive yardage, stay in front of the chains & march down field type plays and can pay it off when you get close.

I actually prefer the bell cow. I think they break the spirit of the opponent. I think they keep your team confident, engaged & able to dictate the tempo of the game. If Saquon only broke big runs, he wouldn't get the respect. Defenders can accept that a back is occassionally going to break a big one. The fact that he can do both is why defenders hate playing him. When he keeps grinding you down though, that breaks their spirit. One of the reasons that I don't think Emmitt gets the respect he deserves. He just kept grinding out those positive plays regardless of the defense.

I think with better Oline play our two rookies could have quite a nice season. I'll be right there with you when Blue goes 60 but Mafah may be the heart of the offense. Just a feeling in early May.
One that scores touchdowns and helps us win

a 22. Nothing like it. Heart over talent. Thats why 22>20. I'll say 20 was greatest "runner" though

Give me one like OJ Simpson arguably the best of all time in his prime.
A blend of speed , power and moves rarely found.
This was a guy who played on a bad team when everyone in the stadium knew he was getting the ball and he could still break it to the house.
Can't imagine how many yards he would have in a season now with it being 17 games instead of 14 and maybe having some talent around him.
