No, it matters, and it matters a lot. Barkely and Henry are elite, funny how they were both in the super bowl. I think you've bought too much into BSPN drama about RBs....dont think it matters anymore. We just need Capable runners that will get positive yardage and keep moving the chains.
Everything else frosting on the cake. The days of Elite runners are gone. We need combo package to help Dak.
Riggens seemed like trying to tackle a small tank when I was a kid!Riggins rushed for 11,352.
Different eraRiggins rushed for 11,352.
One that scores touchdowns and helps us winI am intrigued by our draft picks. One can take a crease to the house. One is probably limited to about 30 yard gains but is going to deliver some pain to defenders on every run.
So, which do you prefer? The homerun hitter is flashy and delivers that euphoric high. The bell cow churns out those positive yardage, stay in front of the chains & march down field type plays and can pay it off when you get close.
I actually prefer the bell cow. I think they break the spirit of the opponent. I think they keep your team confident, engaged & able to dictate the tempo of the game. If Saquon only broke big runs, he wouldn't get the respect. Defenders can accept that a back is occassionally going to break a big one. The fact that he can do both is why defenders hate playing him. When he keeps grinding you down though, that breaks their spirit. One of the reasons that I don't think Emmitt gets the respect he deserves. He just kept grinding out those positive plays regardless of the defense.
I think with better Oline play our two rookies could have quite a nice season. I'll be right there with you when Blue goes 60 but Mafah may be the heart of the offense. Just a feeling in early May.
Agree!! Just couldn't help being contrary as Riggins was specifically mentioned!!!Different era
Few of them defy the odds
Henry is one but overall the best move is a short, quick back with some good power
bit like Christian Okoye.. the Nigerian Nightmare.. fun to watch.Riggens seemed like trying to tackle a small tank when I was a kid!
Just bounced off people, who fell to the ground and he kept on going!
