Defense Defense Defense.

I like 10-6 games. I am dimented like that.

it goes for baseball too. WHen I played I would much rather turn a 4-6-3 double play than hit a home run.

There ought to be an "Arena League" for people who enjoy defense.

Horse collar and clothes line allowed, head slap encouraged, 1960's definitions of offensive holding and pass interference. All natural playing surfaces, even if it's dirt indoors. They could even move the goal posts up to the goal line.

Well a few more words. I am just sexy and I don't care who knows it.

On a serious note, I think I like offense at times. Could not help myself from liking the old chargers during the Air Coryell years. Loved seeing our offense this time around airing the ball out and liked seeing Danny White airing it out back in the day.

But you gotta love good defense as well. A bone jarring hit on a RB, A great QB sack. Getting an INT and taking it to the house.

Both are too good just to be all about one side of the ball IMO.

Funny thing for me is its all about balance. I played both ways and can honestly say I enjoyed them equally.
From age 10-16 I played CB, LB, and DE in a 5-2. On offense I played HB, FB, WR and QB.
Never played only one way.

As far as watching the game, its still comes down to balance. Don't like offense more than defense. Don't like high scoring more than low scoring. Don't favor blitzing of cover two or running over passing.

I just want great football. Final score 21-20.

I loved the clip of Too Tall taking down the Tampa QB and driving his forearm into his throat! (at about the 1:30 mark)

I always thought of that when I watched Charles Haley try to stick his elbow through Steve Young's skull when the QB's helment came off during an NFC Championship game.

Sir Charles tried so hard to hit his helmentless head, but he just missed. You remember the play?

I'm offense and defense. Played WR all my life, but wish I would've played corner. Of course the competition is trash, but playing corner in those flag ball leagues were fun. No one ever got one over me.

Something about burning corner/safety, catching the ball and taking the best hit they have to offer, Loved it.

I just love the game and all it's phases. I played WR but a good defensive play is fun to watch too.
