What Makes Dak Irreplaceable?

Or replace the barely above average QB1 but a defense, oline, get a cheaper QB who can win more, and try to change something. We’ve already replaced coaching with Dak. He’s the common denominator.
I would argue that mediocre coaching, specifically offensive playcalling is the common denominator.

who are we going to get to beat up on bad defenses?
Here's the thing though, get rid of Dak and the QB we get instead might not even be able to do that.

I get the frustration, I really do, but Dak was far down the list of problems today.

He wishes he could be as half as good as Romo was.
Both come up short in the big games. That was the comparison. If Tony has this team, or the last 5 seasons he’d have done much better I’m sure. He did choke more often than not.

I always see "But if not Dak then who?" type of replies to basically anyone not happy with Dak as the QB for the Cowboys.

What makes him irreplaceable in the eyes of those with that mindset? Are there people that really think Dak's skill and ability is SO high that he can't be replaced?

What skill or talents sets him apart from say..... Joe Flacco off the couch?
I don't think it would matter to you if Dak won the superbowl

Remind us all, did he look bad during the 5 game streak?
The Eagles defense is so bad they replaced their DC midseason which is unheard of. Other than that we haven't beaten a good team all season, and we still lost to them on the road (close but no cigar, 1st and goal on the 6 and stepped out of bounce for 2 point conversion. Both on the QB)

So it's not even a question to you that the plays might look bad because Dak isn't skilled enough to dissect and execute things?
It's a question sure.

Here's what I have seen though:

Dak executing great plays to give this team a chance. Often in 1-on-1 match-up's where Dak and the WR have to be dam near perfect.

Here's what I almost never see:

McCarthy calling that clutch play in critical moments that punishes defenses.
McCarthy scheming up wide open plays that I see teams come up with against Dallas' D.

Lose Dak and there is a chance you become the Commanders or Giants. I fully understand the frustration with the team, but there are more issues than just our QB.

Not a single answer so far besides "contract".

Just insults instead.

Shocking.
Actually what I meant in my answer earlier is I think this team is hesitant to change QB's once they find a "franchise" guy.

I know we argue a lot about Dak (hope you know it's not personal) but the consensus around the NFL is that Dak is a franchise QB. This might sound like a tired out answer but at some point this coaching staff has to take a little responsibility too in games like this. They know Dak better than anyone, can they not design plays on the road that suit him?

I'm not frustrated. I've seen the movie before. dak played well until the sweat from fear got in his eyes. I noticed when they came back from the commercial it looked like he wiped his face. In the next series, we scored. I wonder where Sweat Boy was. I hope he wasn't in the bathroom with pissboy. :D

He wasn't the reason they won. Your QB has to be the one to come through in these big games on the road at least sometimes instead he folds like a cheap tent everytime.
So let me get this straight you think he should've blocked the field goal or should've guarded on Hill?

Is Dak doing anything right now that sets him apart from an off the couch Joe Flacco?

So you’re wanting Dak back for a multi season contract? Put it on record right now.
Yes, because I understand this sport and I know how hard it is to find a top 10 QB.

Would you rather tank and go fishing for the next Zach Wilson or Bryce Young?
:lmao2:
