What makes you guys think the second half of the season will be any different?

So far the solutions proposed for our problems have been:

- Stop turning the ball over
- Stop committing costly penalties
- Play to our potential

If we can solve all that, we can make a run at the playoffs.

But that's a huge IF. I've been hearing this all year. "IF" we stop making stupid mistakes. "IF" we stop committing penalties". What makes you think we can solve all that? It's been 8 games of the season, and we're still committing stupid penalties like the first game of the season. Our turnovers will probably go down with Romo at QB, but that's not why we lost to Washington. We are still the same dumb team we were at the beginning of the season. What makes you think any of that will suddenly change?

It's not like we have a bye week to sort everything out.
What's with all the "we" stuff? Are you on the team? And if so, why are you asking everybody else if you can stop doing something?:blind:

Actually you're right. I probably shouldnt have used "we". It just shows that I'm way too emotionally invested in the team. I think thats my problem.

- We play 5 games at home.

We played the Giants at home and got beaten from start to finish, so forgive me for not thinking Texas Stadium is as menacing a place to play as Arrowhead or the RCA Dome or Gillette Stadium.

Hold one a sec... we were going in for the go ahead TD before the half. It would have been 14-13. We didnt get beat from start to finish. I put just about all the blame on that game on Drew. He changed the flow of the game.

In the 2nd half we flat out lost it.

It funny... the word "nothing" above the Eagles Logo is just so fitting.

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing... you gotta have something......AND YA DON'T!

True we could have taken the lead had Bledsoe thrown to an open Fasano (assuming he hangs on to the ball). However, my point was that we trailed that game from start to finish. When you never lead you get beat from gate to gate.

That is an erroneous statement.
No team has ever won after trailing most of the game?

That's not what I'm saying YoMick. If you LOSE a game that you never lead in, you were beaten from gate to gate. The 'Boys lost to the Giants in a game where they never led.

Im optimistic because TO cant drop two long potentially game wining TD's twice in a season.....he can't right?:bang2:

Well, actually, my conspiracy theory reads like this..." it is all rigged, we will embark on an 8 game winning streak and give the Colts their first loss, after which we will beat the Saints, because they will beat the Giants in the playoffs then, then on to the NFC Championship Game vs the Bears and on to the SuperBowl loss to the Colts. Bill retires to the Hall of Fame and Jerry lets Charlie Weis hit the lottery. Dallas returns in 07' or 08' to win it all with Bills mentor."

The End

A 4-4 team that has played hard and smart is one thing.
A 4-4 team that has played down to the level of its competition, with a few exceptions, and dumb is another thing.
For the most part this has been Dallas's story since about midway through last season.
Sure, teams turn their seasons around every year. But the core group of players who have been getting most of the reps in Dallas for the past 2 seasons don't seem like they have it in them.

i think things are on the up because they cannot possibly stay stuck in the funk.......

Top 5 offense and Defense........one of these days the penalties, drops and miscues will stop.......that day will be a great day.......a day to remember........

This team is not going 6-2 down the stretch and you know it. 9-7 at best and pray that that's good enough.

we have talent, and we match up well w/ anyone

except our deep half of the secondary against the plethora of Indy receiving targets

I just love "deterministic" fans.
