If they would do it with respect to the original, I'd like to see a new version of Fritz Lang's 1927 Metropolis.

I liked the remake they already made. I didn't understand why they did not make 2 or 3 more with judge dredd and the psychic girl. I though it was an amazing movie. The paths they could take with the story narrative beats most movies, crime/police shows, and can be in a couple genres.

Don't know if you saw it, but they did try and remake Conan a few years back.

Low budget version starring Jason Mamoa, the guy who plays Aquaman and Khal Drago on Game of Thrones.

Pretty good choice for the casting, but movie wasn't that great and I'm a HUGE Conan fan -- read all of Robert Howard's stories -- so I'm looking to justify anything.

I would love to see another Conan franchise. There was always talk Arney was coming back to do King Conan, but I think he's past his get well date to be wearing loin cloths.
I've held off watching the remake just because I don't want the disappointment. I read all the books too and I absolutely loved the original with Arnold. Jason Mamoa could have been good because he kind of looks like the book covers. With some grizzled / scar makeup I could see it.

he looks it, but his personality, acting, and voice isn't right.

Vin seems like the obvious choice, but a little too obvious.
Great choice of a remake. I'm trying to think of a good actor for that roll. Someone who is a physical actor but not too big of a star. Doesn't need to be muscle bound but believable as a badass. Maybe someone like Taylor Kitsch? (Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights).

Yeah, probably right. To really pull it off, an unknown actor would probably be the way to go. Difficult role because it's not all about the action.

arnold had the accent and was learning English and not good at it, and I think both the accent and bad English helped him out.

Jason has the Samoan laid back type of voice and attitude and it is just not the same.
