For the most part I would like to see b movies redone with better scripts, actors and money.
Some that were not great but had some good stuff to them that could be much better.

The Beastmaster
Krull
Battle Beyond the Stars
Gladiator no not the crowe one...the lesser known one with cuba gooding jr and brian dennehey Sp?
Not a remake but a sequel or prequel to Master and Commander

Unless they made it for Streaming for Television reboot as a tribute to that 1992 Gladiator classic, I'm not sure how a movie reboot would appeal to even the biggest fans of the classic..
They even made a low budget sequel film to Gladiator with " Fighting Tommy Riley " (2004).. and i don't think many Gladiator fans have even heard of it.

If they would do it with respect to the original, I'd like to see a new version of Fritz Lang's 1927 Metropolis.

One of my all time silent movies. Would the reboot have dialog? And who would be best at playing Maria?

I did think of one that would be most timely, "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington". Jimmy Stewart was wonderful in that but never has this country needed a political hero more than it does now.

I could see Steve Carrell or Jason Sudeikis in that role.

Just about Every actor that has tried to match an all time classic has ended up being laughed at.

Kenneth Brannah doing Henry V (Olivier's greatest role) is one of the few that did not end up causing snickers.

Sadly, the world of politics is so dirty and corrupt that anything like Mr Smith would get laughed out of the theaters.

By some? Yes, but people really want to believe and if it was done right, it could be very good.

There was another film about how the machinations in DC work with Alan Alda, "The Seduction of Joe Tynan". That would be a good subject matter because I believe it is the closest to the truth of what happens to the young dragon slayers that go to DC.

the real question is that ARE there any dragon slayers at all anymore.

They had both of them on one of the non-pay cable channels not too long ago and I sat through both.

I'm a fan of the original movie and all its cheesy glory, so I enjoyed them. Would never watch them again, but at least got to see them.

#2 felt like a #1 rehash, #3 had a more original story although (spoiler alert) not sure how the story went from #2's after credit scene to #3.... maybe because the actor died? .

How strange. I almost listed West Side Story in this thread, and watching the Lions/Bears game I just saw that it's coming out in theaters soon. I was going to suggest don't make it a musical. I hope that's the route they took.

Trying to redo Bruce Lee or Clint Eastwood (in a western) would be a HUGE mistake. I don't believe anyone could come close to pulling those rolls off.

I used to love Beastmaster when I was in my teens. Would be awesome to see them redo that with modern CG etc.

Excalibur, They Live and Clash of the Titans would be good if done right as well

Beastmaster was one of my favorites as a kid. My Mom actually went to high school with the actor who played the title role (Marc Singer) in Corpus Christi, TX. Farrah Fawcett went to the same school!
