What movies would you consider a Perfect 10 scale?

Secondhand Lions --- just a great film. Michael Caine is a fabulous actor. Add one of the 1st movies I ever saw with him to my list of 10's. Zulu !

Open Range --- has the most realistic portrayal of an Old West shootout ever filmed (due to poor ammunition quality and average skills most gunfights were not one shot/one kill affairs). Great storyline too.

And finally, the greatest of story lines capturing the quality of a man's word as his bond, and yes it is more than a movie, the mini-series Lonesome Dove. Augustus McCrae (Duvall) and Woodrow Call (Tommy Lee Jones) are classic Texas Ranger portrayals. Makes me even more proud to be Texan.

As my list expanded y'all can see I got on a Robert Duvall kick !
Zulu is a great movie

Movie: Shawshank is probably best movie I've ever watched.

TV series: Band of Brothers is hands down the absolute best tv/film of all time. If it was 6-9 hour movie I'd not get up to pee. I watch it at least once a year.

My lifelong 10/10 grade remains a tie between The Godfather and Citizen Kane. My personal grading system ranks how I see movies as they compare with them (the top of my scale) and the absolute worst movies (0/0 grade) I have ever seen, which were Bolero--which had only ONE redeeming quality  -- and The Kindred.
Which ‘one’?
Dont leave us ‘hanging’

English titles:
Belle de Jour = none, they just went with the French title in America.
Le Mépris = Contempt
La Peau Douce = The Soft Skin / The Silken Skin

Fun fact: Catherine Deneuve of Belle de Jour and Françoise Dorléac of The Soft Skin were sisters.

I know the original question is somewhat subjective. Things can have different reasons to be highly admired, but some of the responses on here are nowhere in the universe of a “perfect 10”.

Perfect 10 means “virtually flawless”, “greatest movie of all time for the genre”, or something similar.

Many of the answers have been quite humorous and are nowhere near the realm of a “perfect 10”…..
