so don't even bother.

Nobody is going to move to the middle of the second round, from the 1st round, for Roy Williams ( SS ) unless the 2010 #1 pick is thrown into the pot. Heck, whomever is interested in RW (SS) might be able to either getting him for free or a low round pick.

And although Taylor Mays is awsome, there are other safeties out there who could do the job and would cost alot less.

Not to mention that there's a possibility that Mays himself might drop in the draft.

i would be wetting my pants if we could get either of those guys.

they are both monsters

unfortunately i think the price will be way too high....we're not gonna trade RW11 after the contract we gave him, and RW38 is not very highly thought of anymore to grant that kind of value.

so in order to get to the middle of round 1 from #51, we'd need RW38, plus our 1st in 2010, and probably our 2nd this year and maybe our 4th and 5th in addition.

i would personally jump on getting one of them, but i doubt the ones signing the checks would do something like that.

if they dropped towards the mid 20s in the draft, that's another story i think

Stick to our current picks and make the best we can out of them. If we can trade this year's picks for higher picks next year, especially in the middle rounds, we should take it.

We need lots of depth at LB and OL. We could use a starter at safety. We need a backup at NT. We need to find quality developmental guys who are willing to pay the price on STs while they learn how to be pros.
