Worthless because it assumes the last 2 games are all that matter.ArmchairRedskin said:Well if the question was which NFCE team can best beat the Cowboys, you'd also have to answer the Commanders. After all, we were statistically better than you in offense and defense and we beat you twice.
How's that for meaningful.
Hostile said:Worthless because it assumes the last 2 games are all that matter.
You might as well flush.
No games reflect the personnel for either team. This off season both have retooled.ArmchairRedskin said:Well considering the last two games most accurately reflect the personnel of each team as they would be going into next season, there's no other games more relevant.

You don't understand much do you?
You don't want to see me "snippy" Skippy, so cool your jets.ArmchairRedskin said:Didn't I say best reflect? And wouldn't that statement be 100% correct? Your 2004 team represents a smaller percentage of the team that we'll be facing in 2006 than the 2005 team.
Don't get all snippy because I thrown everything you've said back at you and made a point.
What you don't seem to understand is this whole thread is speculative. You haven't ever had TO on your team before and no other NFCE team has defended against TO while he played on your 2006 Cowboys team.
What TO did with the the 2004 Eagles is highly irrelevant to what he'll do with the 2006 Cowboys if you really wanna get nitpicky.
TO's personal stats are a little more relevant than his team's win or loss against any other team, but still pretty much don't mean squat.
I mean if you discount last year's Cowboys vs Commanders games because of retooling, then how in the world do you figure what TO did in 2004 on a different team is somehow meaningful?
Hostile said:You don't want to see me "snippy" Skippy, so cool your jets.
Now, pay attention. Commanders fans have said repeatedly in this thread that the Commanders basically own TO and have stopped him. After all the most yards he's ever had on them is 46.
I made the point that it isn't much to crow about if you've lost every game.
Am I going too fast for you Skippy? I could dumb it down for you but I'd need a lot of Nyquil first to create the fog my mind would have to be in.
What good is it to stop someone and lose?
I am not saying any of those games are relevant, you are. I'm saying it's a stupid thing to be proud of if you can't win the game.
You'll never hear me crowing about stats when the scoreboard reads for the other guys.
You've made a valid point? I'm sorry Skippy, as someone unacustomed to thinking small picture I don't undestand short bus smack talk.
You can't read. My position is that it's silly to brag about something that fails to accomplish the goal.ArmchairRedskin said:Do you even see what you're saying? You're contradicting yourself. You say you're not claiming the past games are relevant, yet you continually bring them up to solidify your position.
I'll repeat what I said earlier.: There are a lot of other factors involved in whether or not we beat a team TO is on than TO himself.
The only common denominator is TO himself and our secondary. What has our secondary done against TO? That is what's relevant.
I'm not the one twisting the topic of this thread to fit my argument. I'm making all my points within the confines of the topic.
Which team can best defend against TO?
The Commanders.
Why? Because we've had the best secondary in the division the last two years and TO hasn't ever produced much against us.
You wannna make an argument that defends either the Eagles or the Giants, then go ahead.
I love how you go through your whole post tossing out little insults. Funny stuff. Puts a smile on my face.
Hostile said:You can't read. My position is that it's silly to brag about something that fails to accomplish the goal.
I already defended the Eagles as the best chance to contain him. This has nothing to do with that.
You stopped the guy. Whoo hoo. Congratulations. What good was it?
Now beat your chest and grunt.
It's meant to be funny and meant to make people smile. It's easy when the audience sets you up.
Do you need a Kleenex?ArmchairRedskin said:Yeah, by funny I mean it's pitiful that you have to resort to name calling and insults to boost your own self image, yet humorous that you think any of that drivel means anything. It's just a waste of space.
Now you say bragging about containing him is silly when we didn't beat the team he was on. I say it's even sillier to assert that we can't beat a team simply because TO is on it. His mere presence isn't the deciding factor. He actually has to produce, despite the fact that he's TO.
You can argue that he opens things up for other people, and he doesn't directly have to produce to be effective, but I can also point to our inept offense and 6-10 record despite our top 3 defense of that year. See our offense was a huge factor in us losing a lot of games that year. We not only couldn't score, we also had a lot of defenses scoring on us because of turnovers. All I do know is we didn't lose to Philly because we couldn't contain TO.
It's a shame we didn't face TO last year. Of course if we had faced him and won either of the games, they would surely be discounted because of the injuries the Eagles sustained.

That's the saddest thing I've ever read in my life. Oh the inhumanity of failing to recognize the greatness of the Commanders.
I called you Skippy because it rhymed with your word snippy. Get over it already. There's no crying in football.
I wouldn't have. A stat is useless, a win isn't.ArmchairRedskin said:Right, I'm crying.
When all else fails, go off and a tangent and make it personal.
Think about this for a second: before 2005 you could have made the exact same argument for Keyshawn. We lost to the Cowboys and Bucs while he was on their respective teams..until last year.
With that nugget, I'll leave you to find some more insults to hurl my way while avoiding the fact that I've more than made my point on this topic.
