Outstanding read! In reality, most of them are a bit nervous of Romo and you can tell. If they expect him to fall off, then they must expect him to forget how to find the opened guy, or be extremely accurate, or forget how to tell where a blitz is coming from, or lose his ability to roll out and throw on the run.

A lot of sarcasm and bitterness, almost an air of "that's not fair! Dallas is not allowed to be good AGAIN!"

The best one's to me are the Giants fans. They are having the get rid of Elli debates like we had around here for years. Difference being we were arguing over scrubs, they are arguing over a first round pick who cost them tons.:laugh2:

The funny thing is a lot of them claim that D-Coordinators haven't seen enough of him yet to figure him out. Geez, they've only had 5 1/2 games. I'm not saying they should know every nuance by now, but they should have an excellent idea of what he can and can't do.

Honestly, there isn't a D-Coordinator out there who couldn't take his preseason action and tell you what he can and can't do. These guys aren't idiots.

What a great thread.

Cardinals fans? Who'd a thunk it? Certainly not me and I live here. The great thing was how uninformed they were. That was hilarious. They're on the short bus with their team.

Andrew Walters "the best QB in the NFL." :laugh2:

Oh and 49ers fans not knowing who the QB in Buffalo is. Priceless.

I think (Alex) Smith has more upside than Romo.

Maybe so, but I'd be satisfied if Romo never plays differently than he has these first five games.

Cracks me up how the Dallas OL has suddenly become great and how Romo has "years" to pass the ball.

Maybe they have a reason to be, but Pats fans are so arrogant. I hope Chicago kicks NE's ***.

man i stopped at the panther forum cause somebody mentioned all the "calls" we get referring to penalties. extremeskins has a thread on it also. yet we are one of the most penalized teams with the most penalty yards?

yeah what the hell games have they been watching?

oh wait, they've been watching their OWN teams and rarely see us

I wonder how many times this year Ware and Ellis (before he was hurt) have been held without a call...it happens at least 2 or 3 times a game

This is great:

Well there's a couple thing I think bears mentioning:

- Romo just hit 4 game mark which is about what it takes DC to catch up with the tendencies of a player. Compare Rex' first 4 games vs Romo's and I think we'll see rex kills 'em

- I'd expect Romo to be more polished (and the same goes for Phillips) then Rex. Those guys spent the same amount of time on the bench but the big difference is that those goes got ACTUAL reps in practice. Rex spent 2 years rehabbing and not getting reps. Mental reps are good but actual practice reps even if they are sparing, are far, far better.

- Romo has Terry Glen, Terrell Owens, AND Eric Witten. Phillips has two of the best are their position LT and Gates. It's a lot easier to be an elite QB when the supporting skill players are Borderline HoF'ers mixed with the elite @ their respective positions. Say what you will but Rex really has only Moose. The rest are above average but not elite except for when Rex delivers them the ball which makes them look like all-pros.
Actually, Romo has better stats over the first 5 games.
