I also like the Panthers fan who says that he finally respects the Cowboys after seeing them dismantle Tampa.

Where the hell was he when the Cowboys did that to his own team? RLMAO.

it does make you wonder where this guy was... but it still seems the Panthers have a decent chance of making the playoffs, so maybe we'll all be treated to a rematch. They at least got a lead on us in that game, before the Awakening.

Post #5 of the Eagles thread:

Yeah cuz Romo isn't gonna improve as he goes along, right?

It's gonna be ALL about other teams learning to beat him, and NOTHING about Romo improving himself.

My god Eagles fans are stupid.

I'm mildly curious what the Eagle fans are saying. There's no way I'll join that forum though just to view their stupidity.
i went in there the other day wondering the same thing. there was a post titled "nfc is parcells now" saying he has us playing like his superbowl giants teams but with a better defense

The most common responses seem to be that once teams have more film of him they will figure him out. If this had much merit, first time starters would have incredible success, which is not so, first time starters struggle more often than not. DC's have 10 years of film on Peyton Manning, and about 6 years of film on Brady and they still can't stop them.

Then the other argument is that he has TO, Glenn and Eric Witten, plus Jones and Barber. Bledsoe had these same guys too and that didn't turn out to well for him.

A couple notes:

1: Alex Smith is as far from a future star at QB as a first round QB can get. He's Jeff George with a weaker arm. A lot of talent but just doesnt have that thing that good NFL QBs have, and even if he did, San Francisco is 5 years away from having anything even resembling a consistently competative team.

2: After Sunday, I'm convinced the only QBs I'd take over Romo are Brady, Manning and a healthy Carson Palmer.

3: Someone needs to "accidently" hit the secret red button on the president's desk that fires a warhead at Lincoln Financial Field.

This was a good read. It's rare that I read other boards other than extremeskins. It's interesting to see the Atlanta and NYG boards complete re-evaluating their QB situations because of Romo. I would say that Romo has a lot of teams shook up right now. If he was no good why would there be multiple several page threads on your board about him? Everyone's so quick to point out that he's only started 5 games but he's patiently prepared for this opportunity. He has a plethora of weapons around him and of course that moxie. :starspin

Here is some good stuff from one of the Eagles board........no sign up needed.

http://mb14.scout.com/feaglesfansfrm1.showMessage?topicID=7164.topic

My football life right now is not looking good.....

...my Eagles are w/o their QB, who by the way WAS my starting QB in 4 of my 5 Fantasy Teams.

...Dallas, who I thought was done when then went to Romo, now appear to have the second coming of Tom Brady...and also by the way, I am playing against two teams that have started Romo and his 5 TDs this weekend.

...lastly, it seems that everytime I turn on the TV to watch the NFL...some broadcaster is stating that Dallas is going to the Super Bowl, led by this Romo guy who should also be in the Pro Bowl

...oh yeah...one more thing....TO is loving it...and I cant stand that.

So what I guess I am saying, w/o prejudice, is that Romo to me seems to be a solid QB who makes very few mistakes. Watching him play it seems that the game is slow to him, he sees everything, he hits the open WR, he comes up with the play when he has too. Is he better than McNabb?....NO. But I will go on the record, and I dont think anyone will disagree, that if our receivers would only catch the damn balls that bounce off their chests, or deflect off their fingers, or ricochet off their helmets....we will definetly be sitting much prettier in the standings.

Well, let's see if we're as complimentary to Jason Campbell if he strings a number of good games together. Pettiness is universal.

Well, it is not just on the message boards. It is also at work. My relief, a Saints fan tells me that even though Romo is playing well, teams are not defensing him correctly.

He states that all teams need to do is double team Owens constantly, leave the other receivers in single coverage, and eventually, Owens will erupt in such a rage that will cause a distraction to the team.

Haven't we seen that before? I think Dallas has overcame that, moron!

And go ahead, single cover Terry Glenn. I dare you!

That theory is garbage. Romo finds who's open. Not who he feels comfortable with. The way owens drops balls, if any thing a normal QB wouldn't look to owens some games. With Romo it makes no difference, if the guy is open he will get him the ball.
