I'd consider Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, but I'm not sure I would take them over Romo.

He IS the leagues ELITE!

I agree. I am Romo's biggest fan. I've been rooting for him for a long time. But I honestly didn't expect him to play this well this fast.

You've got to credit the line, TEs, RBs and recievers ... but Tony Romo has played above and beyond my expectations.

I think the same can be said for every fan.

The guy is doing an admirable job while under the tremendous amout of pressure that comes with being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

This guy is the diamond in the rough that we've been looking for. The kind you find that can make you're team a contender or a pretender.

Romo is the real deal.

I was prepared to take LTN's stance and say .. wait, wait, wait! But the numbers he put up today have convinced me.

You don't put up those numbers consistantly and not be considered to be the real deal.

I think it's incredible how inept Bledsoe made this offense. I mean, on paper, Glenn, Owens, Witten, Barber, Jones, it looked like a team that would be unstoppable. It seems we have finally gotten there.

The idea of read progressions seemed so foregin to Bledsoe, and he's supposed to be the vet, "best chance to win now".

How good we could have been from the start if Romo was QB in Week 1. We'd probably have the division in hand and be playing for Home Field Advantage.

But you can't fault Parcells, Bledsoe played well last year when the team around him was good. I supported the Bledsoe decision, it made sense at the time. Ill admit it.

PS. Where are all the Henson backers now??

Romo is the best QB in football... right now. ;)

I know what you mean ... the dreaded hero one day...zero the next ...

Somehow, I don't think that is the case.

I think we've legitimately got something here.

Who knows.

Anything is possible, I suppose.

Top of the evenin' to you, Mikey. :)

I hear you. That's a talented cast of players if you ask me. They just didn't seem to have any cohesion with Bledsoe at quarterback. He just didn't fit the offense like Tony Romo does.

Tony gives you options. He can run those west coast types of plays, the screens, quick short routes etcs.. and he can go down field.

He allows for a nice mixture of plays for an offensive coordinator and provides a variety of options for an offensive coordinator when you ***** and analyze the opposition's defense.

He's diverse, he's mobile and he makes his reads.

The idea of read progressions seemed so foregin to Bledsoe, and he's supposed to be the vet, "best chance to win now".

I couldn't have said it better. I think that has been the problem with almost every quarterback on our roster since Aikman.

Who knows. I think at this point we just have to look forward and hope that this team goes as far as possible in to the playoffs with the team - and record - that we have now. It worked for the Steelers last year when they took that approach.

It's not like we're dead. We've got a good shot here, man!

This if we coulda, shoulda, woulda stuff don't really matter all that much....

But you can't fault Parcells, Bledsoe played well last year when the team around him was good. I supported the Bledsoe decision, it made sense at the time. Ill admit it.

He just didn't cut it with his immobility. Teams had figured out how to make us one-dimensional by blitzing Bledsoe, therby, rendering our offense ineffective.

This was the blessing that we needed to discover Romo. And Bledsoe isn't a bad back up if you ask me.

You can't really fault Parcells for anything. Look at Romo out there! He's molded him in to a beast of a quarterback.

What more could you ask for from a coach who has shaped this undrafted free agent in to a top NFL quarterback?

Of course you can't fault Parcells. You praise him, because that's a dang good job of coaching right thur.

PS. Where are all the Henson backers now??

Who cares?

This is like saying where are all the Ryan Leaf backers now? Or where are all of the Chad Hutchison backers? Will the real Quincy Carter backers please stand up? Where art thou supporters of Anthony Wright?

The past is the past and the future is now!

There is no need to press a past issue that has no bearing on our present season and team outlook for the future.

I've noticed that most of the Henson backers are right behind Tony Romo ..... every step of the way.

So this question is mute.:)

I was one of the Henson backers, but I was never against Romo. It seems like everything BP said about him is coming to fruition.

Seeing the way Romo is playing right now, how could anyone beat him out? It was unfair to Henson.

The question has been moot since Henson was released.

But it won't be 'mute' as long as chest-thumping lives.

me too, but I was always equally behind Romo in support as well

for me, it was hoping that one or the other could be our franchise QB

In hindsight, it kinda makes you wonder if he ever really did have a fair shot.

I mean his competition was Bledsoe (a future HOFer with bookoo passing yards to boot) and Tony Romo (this guy that we're seeing rip up the league right now).

I don't care who you are, going up against competition like that .. and your chances of earning the start and looking too good.

Who knows, maybe someone will see it this way and pick him up.:)

The Vikings DID pick him up, they thought he was garbage too.

I don't know...

I still think making the move to Romo means we are giving up on this season and I'm not ready to do that yet...

My picking Romo has more than what he has done for the Cowboys lately, it's the Attitude that I like so much.
He seems confident, comfortable and happy.
The guys always smiling ,even after plays that don't go perfect.
I also love his Gunslinging attitude.
Yup, Right now I'll Take Tony R. over Peyton, Tom, Rivers and Palmer.

Is it okay to say Romo reminds me of Montana now? There, I said it. He does and has for some time, its just that everyone freaks out when you drop a name like that. His style, his poise, his leadership, his release, his ability to throw with pinpoint accuracy on the run off his backfoot, the way he makes the people around him better players. He may not win 5 Superbowls. He may not even come close to winning one. But just on style alone he's the closest thing I've seen to Joe Montana since Joe Montana.
