Two things I am sick of reading/hearing: He has the IT factor and he is a winner. He has accomplished neither of these at the pro level. He was 1-2 before beating perhaps the worst team in the NFL yesterday and he didn't win that game. His defense won it. When Denver got the ball back in OT they didn't do anything on offense except run the ball and the FG had to kick a 50+yarder to win. If they had so much confidence in him and he had that it factor wouldn't you think they would get a little closer for their FG kicker. If you want to characterize Tebow as a winner and IT factor he will have to do it against better competition and be able to actually win the game instead of being asked not to lose it for me to be convinced.
Oh well it's a good thing that I don't have to care, at all, rather you're convinced or not. That's a wonderful thing.
Second of all I didn't realise it was his defense on the field that helped score the 15 points to get it into OT.
Third it absolutely cracks me up how if the Cowboys lose and someone says "Romo had a good game throwing the ball" people lose their minds and yell "DON'T TELL ME ABOUT STATS! TELL ME ABOUT W'S!!!!!"
Now with Tebow it's not about W's, no matter how they happen, its about stats? LOL.
Oh brother.
Look I am not saying Tebow is a great QB, or ever will be. I'm not saying he's got some fantastic skill set or ever will.
But in college he proved to be a winner and he's given his team a chance to win when he's been out there in the pros.
Last week he helped bring them back from beind to have a shot to get it done at the end. This week he helped bring them back from behind to have a shot to win.
People can cry about the stats, lack there of, and all that jazz all they want but generally speaking (And I've got probably a 1,000 threads on this site about Romo in particular to back this up) all I ever hear is it's about the W's with a QB.
Funny how that doesn't seem to apply to all QB's when someone wants to make a point on the other side.
Also lets not forget that he doesn't have much to work with in Denver and the one really solid WR he had they traded out right of there right as they made him the starter.
The Dolphins are a really, really, really bad team and no one is ever going to dispute that. Well I guess except the people who were once rueing the fact that Sparano was allowed to leave who've become interestingly completely quite since last season. But lets not pretend that the Broncos are some amazing collection of talent that are going to get by inspite of Tebow either.
