Again, Mike is usually pretty reserved in his praise for rookies, but he's really talked up Beebe when asked about him.

I think the team is very happy with how he's coming along. He'll be very good next year.

Steele is a great run blocker but struggles with quickness... What if we kicked him inside to RG? I think he could be pretty damned good inside honestly. Guyton to RT, Tyler Smith to LT (he looked great there in spot duty and at this point if he can be a pro bowl LT and not just guard we need to do it).

Beebe, Hoffman and Bass duke it out for LG and C. Probably Hoffman at C and Beebe at LG.

A month ago I think Steele to G was a good conversation to have. I think you have enough guys on the interior stepping up to not take on a project like that though….especially given that you probably have to commit starter money to Hoffman to keep him around.

Beebe is so overrated by this board. Hopefully by next season he can be an average center. It’s frightening to me that the Cowboys started running the ball better when Martin was injured. Nobody seems to want to say it but Martin was the issue with our line not Steele. The key to the line nowadays is chemistry. Hopefully the Cowboys will let the current line develop together.
Martin should have been traded last year when he decided to sit it out for a new deal.

The Cowboys probably can get Steele to take a pay cut.
What is Jerry going to say? ”Uh, we changed our mind. We would rather not pay you what we agreed to pay you.” And Steele’s going to say “Uh, ok, pay me less”. Why would any player agree to that? And what would the NFLPA think about it? The Cowboys cannot “get Steele to take a pay cut”.

Hint.....he's staying at C
The only real question is RG.......Hoffman or Bass

BTW.....Steele critics need to accept he isn't going anywhere until maybe 2026. LOL....he is in just his 2nd year of 2023 new contract extension

Maybe he wants to do what's best for the team.

It's too early to decide on a combination for next year these young guys have to go through an off-season of weight training putting on their man weight and developing.
There are a few things that I am very sure of one is we need some absolute stability at the center position.

We were at the height of our power when we had Travis Frederick at center and have not addressed his retirement properly since.
That said we invested draft picks and these Young bucks guyton and BB need to pan out and be developed not go to other teams like Connor McGovern who has a better than average chance of being in the super bowl this year.

The best teams like the Chiefs and I don't believe I'm saying this but the Lions dominance and stability at center.

We certainly should have enough people at this point to field a really competitive offensive line the fact that we have as sacrificed our season for Zack Martin I will never understand but there's no reason why we can't have a dominant offensive line with the personnel we have now if they are developed properly.

Beebe gets no movement @ C........and people complained about Biadiaz. Weird how we can start running the football once Bass comes into the game.

LT- Smith
LG- Beebe
C- Hoffman
RG-Bass
RT-Guyton

Not once have we tried this combination.....Yet I bet it would be our best combination.
