I know he didn't reall y show it the other night, but screens and short dump offs. I noticed Romo has better touch on the short stuff than Drew.

I've never shown you either, but I promise you that I'm a great NFL QB. Just give a few years to start with high paid veterans all around me and then you and the coaches can make the decision.

Be sure and afford me the same chance you are affording Romo because I have absolutely zero NFL experience also and at this time, we have the same record.

I'm sure Cowboy fans will disregard my sacks and interceptions because I can get out of the pocket now and then and throw passes. Like Romo, my decisions won't always be correct, but all the disgruntled bandwaggon fans will be happy because I will make them very fast.

I appreciate the opportunity.

Man, I hate these posts. "I know he is better because?" So tell me does romo have 44,000 yards passing? Does he have 251 career TD's.... I think NOT!!!

Romo is green. He will not be better then Bledsoe for years to come. He is a better fit for our sub par O-line because he can run like hell that is all

Hey, I'm just trying to be positive. I've got Witten and Bledsoe in my fantasy league. I'm dying here.

Yeah he had some nice touch on the one screen pass I can remember, the one that went into the midsection of the Giant's DT.

All the sarcasm and dismissal of those trying to reasonably participate in this thread is the result of unthinking minds.

The thread IS NOT about Romo being better than Bledsoe, just about what specific things Romo does (or seems to do) better than Bledsoe.

No one has said that Romo has surpassed the quality of Bledsoe's career, and CowboyBlog's comments about Romo are bogus because we have seen Romo play more than just on Monday night. Naturally all the preseason games aren't the equivalent of a lot of regular season experience, but in the context of what facets of the game seem to favor Romo we have seen enough to form some opinions.

Geez Louise...pull the stick out of your butt. If there's anything more aggravating than a bunch of unthinking minds pontificating to one another in a jocular manner, it's some aggravating blowhard who rolls in to condescend to everyone.

Get it?

Romo moves better than Bledsoe, senses the rush better, locates more receivers - all that is negated if he doesn't protect the ball better than Bledsoe, though. So until that happens - the good is pretty much irrelevant, save to make us feel slightly better about the possibilities.

Yeah, but we don't know if Romo is more prone to turnovers than Bledsoe. One half of football doesn't give us plenty of sample size to make such determination.

That takes games. Plural.

Thanks. I also don't believe Romo can be graded too much on his first start against a team that knows you have to pass exclusively for the remainder of the game.

Not all was in a jocular manner. Your posts were, and mine was (Romo is a better golfer), but a few posters were basically calling the originator of this thread an idiot and doing so by making points that were irrelevent to the topic.

If posters are going to call a guy an idiot they should at least address the proper topic.

Which then makes any discussion about what he does better than Bledsoe purely speculative as well, doesn't it? Unless we're carrying that out from what little we've seen, while glossing over the bad.

The flashes are there, I really like alot of what I've seen. But what did we hear from Parcells about Romo? He didn't like the playground mentality to throwing the ball around - not careful enough. And then he gets his chance, and does just that. I certainly struggle to find any comfort there. There's a chance with a week of practice, an even game, reps with the starters, a gameplan that it will get mch better, and I'm stoked to see that happen - but there's the same chance that it's gonna get worse, you know? You can't expect one and ignore the other.

Didn't say I disagreed with that either (that you cant be sure what he does better).

But you can make notice of his athletic ability. That can be noticed in a half of football. Which is what this thread seemingly was supposed to be about.

My apologies.

I'll get it back on topic....

Golf.

Hilarious....

I was thrilled with that third and 13 to Witten. That was a fantastic play. he bought time, moved around, and made a great throw that wasn't going to get Witten killed. That was great. I should really focus on those throws, and hope the others kind of go away. I just have doubts.
