With the 32nd pick of the 2007 draft the Dallas Cowboys select Kyle Young, center, Fresno State. 6'5" 330.
I wanted Nick Mangold this past draft.

I was hoping we'd get him, resign Gurode to be our primary back-up at center and Guard, bumping Al Johnson off the roster.

He has zero versatilty and is very average at his speciality. Of course most fans can't take the homer glasses off.

Did they watch the 2nd Commander game?

Al Johnson made more mistakes in that game than Gurode has made inhis career.

Quote from a Commander player through a source after the game...."We were licking our chops knowing they were going to start a TE at center".

Hahaha. Still sulking from the Clarett bet

Ummm... what exactly would I have to sulk about? You said he'd be great, I said he sucked.

I was right, you were wrong. Even Shannahan admitted it was a mistake drafting him in the 3rd.

Is it possible you're that completely ignorant to think you have something to gloat about? Seriously.

Why don't you go visit your homeboy in prison, he probably wants some company right about now.

Nope I said he'd be drafted on Day One. You said he's at best a 7th RD or undrafted free agent. I was right you were wrong.

Do you need me to pull up the bet to refresh your memory

Right about what. The fact remain that Clarett was drafted on Day one.

How he perfomed in the NFL wasn't part of the bet and the fact that some
1st RD picks also flame out, end up in jail or even to some extends murder people pretty much shines a light on your ignorance.

No one knows how any prospect will perform, but based on his performance at Ohio State atleast one team thought he was worth a Day one pick..........making me the bet winner:p:

Do you see the difference!!!:eek::

Is this the same Mike Shannan that declared an undrafted free agent RB as the starting RB in camp?

Yep he makes mistakes all the time. So does Parcells (jacob rogers). I guess he get a pass because Rogers isn't riding around with loaded weapons.

Go ahead. I said he'd be a second day pick (for the bet).

You were right about the bet (big deal) but you were WRONG about Clarett. By a long shot.

You keep pointing out the bet. Why? Yes you were right about the bet. Congratulations. Don't think that by you bringing up the bet over and over that people will forget that you wanted us to draft that loser in the SECOND round and that you thought he'd be an allpro RB.

Well based on his play on the field on the collegiate level, why wouldn't an NFL fan think he'd be a atleast a good RB in the NFL.

The NFL isn't about drafting choir boys. It's a talent acquisition business at all cost. Based on the past AT ALL COST is taken literally.

I've also wanted players that have gone on to have success. Why aren't you bringing up those guys. Keep sulking.........better yet take the Gurode bet so you can get even...........atleast this time I don't have inside info......you hope:D

You wouldn't know "how well" he played if you were on the sidelines watching him. All you know is what his stats were. There's a difference. And there are hundreds of college players that put up big numbers (in college) that didn't do squat in the NFl.

And the broncos got neither when they drafted Clarett.

And about the bet, I asked for your paypal acct and you never gave it to me.

You're saying Gurode will be an all pro this year? I'll take that bet. I'm hoping he'll rise to the occasion and be at least AVERAGE, and you're predicting all pro.... this is funny. No lose situation for me, if he doesn't make all pro, I win. If he makes all pro... I'm happy cuz we have an all pro center. I'll pay $20 for a freakin' all pro center.

You're on, Nancy.

The problem is that there is no such thing as a real 4-3. You can't just plug in Johnson unless he can handle the big guys because even in a 4-3, they will shift over and put a beast over the center in certain sets, and they'll certainly do it if they think they can take advantage of your center.

At least one person here gets it.
