He's just a very solid player. People get caught up in sack numbers. He's a grinder and gets the job done.

this team does not need any more big ego superstars anyways. we need more players like brooking and olshansky. This team has enough superstars, even though the 3-4 DE position is not a position of glamour.

In short, Igor is seen as an overacheiver and Canty as an underachiever. In today's NFL you bet on the underacheiver. You can always cut bait on that guy, the overachiever... well, fans are going to like him and it is tougher to send him packing. Igor likely won't get better, Canty might, so he gets twice as much cash.

I pay off production and if I can get similar numbers for half the price, I go with the so-called "overacheiver". Also, it is not like these guys are rookies and we are just guessing how good they will be. We have 4-5 years of actual stats in comparable systems in which to make a judgement.

Thus, unless you feel that Canty is going to be twice as good as Igor in the future, why the hell would you pay twice the price???

He's not supposed to get many sacks at his position. Hatcher is supposed to be one of the guys to get sacks on third. Not as sure about Bowen. Hopefully he can provide some pressure as well as engage and contain. I think he'll be fine just based on the fact Wade knows him.

Why is it whenever a FA leaves, fans feel compelled to kick the guy on his way out. So he wasn't as good as we hoped, the Bolts weren't interested in resigning him and now he's going elsewhere.

From what I saw he played the game hard and was not an idiot out in public. I suppose we could thank him for that and wish him good luck the rest of the way, other than when he plays SD. But then again there is a reason people outside of SD see us as some of the biggest fair weather fans in the country.

Sounds like our board...:laugh2:

Give me the guy like Olshansky any day. I'll take a whole team of guys who overachieve ... that leave it all on the field every game. I really like what the Boys are doing!

Overachievers bring their lunch pail and plan to stay at it all day.......Underachievers wait for lunch to be catered in!

You've said that before?! I don't think I could say that once, let alone twice.

Kind of seems like a guy you really dont notice out there but at the same time gets his job done. I think their fans were looking at him to be a sack guy but instead hes just a solid all around player. Read up if interested.

Sounds a bit like Canty. Canty somewhat got his job done. I didn't think Canty was all that. He had a few games where he showed some dominance, but other than that, he was a J.A.G.

Igor will be an upgrade if you ask me.

Canty was solid against the run and Igor is as well. This move is so nice to get a equal player for half the price. Also fun to see the Giants over pay for Kenyon Coleman- V 2.0.
