What should they do at number 2 receiver?

Unfortunately, he might end up being just a rotational piece.
I don’t know but not many 3rd year first round picks are rotational. Especially when they aren’t sitting behind a stud.

Maybe I’m wrong I just don’t see DT till pick 76 or later. Now maybe DE is Scourton is there at 44. I doubt he will be though

I would pass on getting another wide receiver in the 1st or 2nd round of draft. Let's see what dallas has right now and go ahead and draft Jeanty since Dallas desparately needs a running back to help relieve some of the pressure on Dak.
I believe the only way we're getting Jeanty is if we trade up.

They struggle coming up with one because they put very limited resources into it. Compare what the Eagles have done with the Cowboys. Then look at what happened in the super bowl. They dominated and won a championship while we ate popcorn and watched.

Yeah WR2 is important, but it's lights years from being important as DT.
The most devastated I've ever been during the draft was when the NFL allowed Jalen Carter to fall to the Eagles. Crushed me.

And I'm not a fan of doing that in this draft there's too many good running backs no way I'm drafting up for him... Now if he falls to us going to be tough to pass on him given the need for WR2 , IDT, MLB, pass rusher and for sure Corner..

I say it's going to be one of the toughest first round pick decisions for the FO to make if many of the board is there and choose BPA but get the biggest need..

We need an impact player, no projects no red flags no injury concerns, plug that pick in game 1 and go!!

why delay? if they sign Allen, then he is stop gap....and we have needs at DT and CB...I know we are not letting Diggs go this year, and he will suck for another year and jerry will let him walk next year....but if they don't sign Allen, they have to draft one early...I say in the first, not saying at 12, but perhaps trade down a bit and get value...
Stop gap for what? Making plays on the field? Dallas has too much youth and inexperience at WR. Get a dude in the locker room that can still produce while showing the young guys how to do it.

Lockett if healthy will be reliable ,but Allen is more physical and vertical threat, they get either and go i to the draft for middle round receiver with a physical and punishing style one( Dez mould ) and develop him

I care about DT much more than WR2. Like, light years more.

The Cowboys can win with a bunch of WR3's. They can't win if they don't stop the run.
Now that is simple and well put.

If we don't take advantage of this deep and talented DT draft, Jerry just further cements himself as a non-football guy and the worst GM in the NFL.

We invested a first round pick on DT two years and he hasn’t panned out. We’ve been forced to reach to try and find a dominant player at the position. Philly got lucky having a top 5 pick enabling them to land a great DT. The Cowboys haven’t been in position to land a great DT.
They are this year, unless they foolishly go CB or WR in the 1st.

Oh, and not true. Tavondre Sweat last draft. We took Guyton instead, reaching for need.

Oh, and Jalen Carter was the 9th pick in the draft. They didn't get lucky, they traded down to get him, after dumping their QB(Wentz) for extra draft picks couple years before. All those high draft picks didn't just suddenly appear out of thin air. You must trade players of value to get them. Philly originally had the 10 pick in that draft from NO. They got it by trading two 2022 1st rounders for a 1st rounder in 22 and one in 23, plus another 2nd and 3rd. Gotta be willing to give to get. And you must be smart about trading. (We are not).

RB is a far greater need since our QB throws 80% of his passes to Lamb or TE. Those numbers won't change, probably ever.
This is absolutely true and a very solid argument. Don't waste FA money or a top pick on a WR, as that addition will not be a needle-mover for this current squad.

DT matters who is there. At 44 if Grant were available he would make sense. Although he's another Michigan DL.
