Can Green Bay's 23rd Ranked run defense slow down Demarco Murray without having to drop a Safety down in the box? Because if they can't, that's when this offense is a nightmare. If you can't bracket Dez with that extra safety because he's forced to commit to the run, he's gonna eat your lunch in 1 on 1 coverage.

Dom Capers is going to send a ton of blitzes. You can bet on that. They may or may not put 8 in the box to stop our run but either way he is going to be sending people.

He is really good at disguising them too. We'll see run blitzes and I believe atleast 5 guys will be coming at Romo almost every time he drops back to pass. Somebody will be open and we are just going to have to burn them for big plays all day down the field. I'd like to see us mix it up on 1st down and do some play action.

We also have not been good at picking those blitzes up either.

It is something that we are going to have to work on.

The Packer's defense is not very physical and are nothing like the defense we just saw in the Lions. Capers has been in the league since my great great grandfather has been watching football so there should be plenty of film out there about what he likes to do and what how he likes to attack offenses. We should be ready.

I agree and while people are so worried about GB fact is we are not chopped liver we have some damn fine players and frankly I think our offense is very capable to putting up a lot of points on GB. Alt went into GB the so called frozen tundra and dropped 37 points on them. Lets give this Cowboys team their dues as well.

Unless GB has Detroits DL theyre blitzing shouldnt scare anybody.

I don't think Dallas is worried about Green Bay's DL's.. Now, their LB's? Yes, Dallas should be worried about that group.

As well as Eddie Lacy.

Well it's a 3-4 defense so the emphasis should be on the LBs. They've invested heavily in pass rushers with 1st rounders on Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, Mike Neal (2nd rounder), and obviously Julius Peppers (FA).

They have quite possibly the worst set of 3-4 ILBs in the entire NFL -- which is why ultimately they were forced to moved Matthews to the middle to shore that up.

Their DL is, at best, average and often less than that. Their best DL is an undersized 3-4 DE in Mike Daniels who is 6'0" and has managed 12 sacks over the past two seasons mainly based on having a high motor.

Good stuff man...

Whenever I see the Packers play, which ain't much. I just see the LB's making a lot of plays.. Makes sense now..

Forgot that they were a 3-4. :(

Nice to have posters here who know the opposing teams fairly well, too.

I don't think any team has Detroit's DL, not even the Seahawks.

Dom Capers is a very good coach and he should be respected, regardless. Whatever he dials up will be interesting to see.

Just a reminder of what Green Bay's defenders said about our running attack last year:

"Oh, my God," defensive tackle tackle Ryan Pickett said, via Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "It's the best zone scheme in the league. They say it's old, the Wisconsin scheme.

"The last four weeks, nobody could stop it — their zone scheme. And they gave up on it. We're just happy they did. We were, like, 'OK, we'll take it.'"

Cornerback Tramon Williams, who picked off the second Romo duck, was equally shocked. It's become clear that the Cowboys' opponents respect their running game more than the Cowboys seem to.

"That's just who they are," Williams said. "They run the ball really well against everybody they play, but they just never stick with it."

Giants went in to GB and pretty much had their way with them on offense and defense.

Our defense isn't as good as giants but our offense is.... So we use a little extra offense as defense ;-)

It was also against Favre who wound up throwing a key late game pik, can we expect the same from Rodgers?

You can bet they will come after romo, we better be ready this time

Sorry LM but flippant remarks like this are a recipe for disaster because of the mindset they reflect
What did the skins have ? But they best us like a rented mule

When you're unprepared you're unprepared

I hope our coaches think more rationally and clearly

That's the seasons ranking?
But how are they playing now, like the last 4 or 5 games.....
