What team messes up the draft?

For one of the guards to fall, a Tackle has to fall to the Chargers. Or they need to trade up.

Tennessee needs to stay away from one and they are very interested in Vaccaro.

Buffalo becomes the biggest wild card, if Geno is off the board they can go after Warmack or Cooper. They could also draft EJ Manuel or Nassib, and some have them drafting Austin. To me this is the biggest player that can hurt our draft.

Others that have potential of taking a guard would be Rams, Cardinals, and Dolphins. I think all could go other directions depending who falls to then.

I still believe that one of the Guards will fall with Star getting a clean bill of health and hoping 2 teams draft a QB in the top 10. (Geno, Manuel)

Richardson is almost for sure to go to Carolina unless Floyd, or a Star fall.

Vaccaro has Tennessee, Rams and won't get past Steelers if he is there, so I do not see him falling.

If these 4 are gone, Sylvester Williams, Datone Jones, DJ Fluker seem to be the most logical if we stay put. I hope we would trade down a few spots and pick up another pick.

Which teams do you see that will mess up our Draft, and what becomes our draft strategy if the big 5 OL, S, and Richardson are gone?

Ugh, if Warmcack, Cooper, Richardson, and Vaccaro are all gone, that would be worst case scenario.

I'd definitely trade down if that is the case.

Who would you target with a trade down?

I think our best chances of getting anyone of these four will be between Cooper and Warmack.(hopefully one would slide) I see both Vaccaro and Richardson off the board.

Me too, I'd almost be happy to trade down to 31 with San Fran with what's left on the board. Don't be suprised to see Sly Williams be the pick for Carolina at 14, word is they are looking for a guy to play the 1 and the 3 and Richardson is mainly a 3.

i think that at least 2 QBs get picked before our pick

i am thinking somone picks geno (definitely the browns) before buffalo

if that happens, bills take nassib

this may actually cause someone to trade up to pick another QB

someone will take austin

this makes it likely that one of top 3 DTs or top 2 OGs will be there for us

I see either the Dolphins or the Chargers trading up to draft one of the Tackles and then it would get interesting to what happens next. Some say the Giants would leapfrog us if Warmack was coming our way?

Rams trading ahead of us to take Cooper or Warmack.

They take Vacarro with their 1st pick, then trade up to take one of the guards. Most likely Warmack.

I see Cooper going to Tenn.

I'm not too worried about it. There should be a very good player available. If all of the preferred players are gone, then someone like Tavon Austin might be available and I would expect some teams to trade up to get him.

The best thing that can happen is for multiple QBs to get picked before #18.

I agree. What do you think the odds of that happening are? I think one QB will go before us. 95 percent chance of that happening. I don't think there are 2qb's that have that high of a grade, but teams will reach for them. I'm guessing 33 percent chance TWO qb's go in the top 17.

I think there is a very high probability that Cooper is gone before #18. I'm guessing 70 percent chance he is gone by our pick in the first. I don't think he will go higher than 10th just based on positional value alone.

Would you give up a 5th or 6th to move up two spots to get him?

Not taking Cooper at 4, right? They would either be trading back from 4 or getting a second pick in the 1st, right?

Yes, in a trade back. They could also take a d-lineman, though.

I just pray someone takes Vacarro...I have no interest or faith in him. He's being pushed up as the top guy in a year with no S stars, and I'm not even confident he should be at the top of the list.

I would be happy with any of the top 4 OTs first.

If all 4 OTs are gone, I'd be happy with either of the 2 OGs.

If all 6 are gone, I'm not fretting about it because there are still plenty of quality OTs and OGs that would be great 2nd round picks and could still end up being as good as any OG and long term solid RTs.

All 6 of the top OL are gone, that means there will be a solid DT or DE there.

No matter what the order or who our pet cats are, we're going to bring in three quality guys who will push to start or for the rotation in rounds 1-2, and I'm guessing we'll get OL, DL, and DB in the mix.

No way Philly takes Cooper that high...I wouldn't even feel badly about it...I'd be laughing my butt off at them.

Cooper is a good pick at #18, but I don't even want to move up for him....Philly isn't that crazy.

They are desperate for OT and CB. If they don't take QB, I think it will be the CB.

Yes, I would not want to trade up for a Guard; however, for this player, this year for this team, I would consider doing it.

I would have to be convinced that he is not going to fall to #18 anyway.

Exactly. As much as I like the two guards, there will be other good players at #18.

Allow me to think out loud for a minute. Let's assume 3 tackles go before us. 1 QB, 2 guards, 3 DEs (Ansah, Mingo, Jordan), 2 DTs (Star, Floyd), and 1 CB.

That's 12 players. Here's what players COULD be available for us. I will bold the players that I think we would target (in no particular order):

1. Tavon Austin
2. Sheldon Richardson
3. Jarvis Jones
4. Cordarrelle Patterson
5. Bjorn Werner
6. Kenny Vaccaro
7. D.J. Fluker
8. Xavier Rhodes
9. Slyvester Williams
10. Datone Jones
11. DeAndre Hopkins
12. Tyler Eifert
13. Jonathan Cyprien
14. Alec Ogletree
15. Keenan Allen
16. Tank Carradine

I just don't see Cleveland spending a first round pick on a QB this year. They took Weeden in the first round last season. They'll give him one more year.
