What team(s) in the NFC East should we be concerned about?

what makes you say that? (the 40 pts) they have a stout d line, added wagner, forbes *should* be markedly better, and quinn. there is both reason for optimism, and zero chance their defense is terrible.
Their defense was terrible last year, Forbes stinks, they have no passrushers, and Wagner doesn't matter. That's not to mention the fact that their offense is going to stink too, and put them in a lot of disadvantageous situations.

Quinn is not going to scheme a good defense, that is not what he does. He's going to sit in Cover 3 because they don't have any cover corners and get torched every week.

They are going to be terrible as a team, and probably be the worst defense in the league.

Eagles:
They will be a problem as usual. But when we play them, we usually screw up allowing them to pull a game out. Al depends on how the offense responds to Moore. Will he pull some trick play at the wrong time for them as he did us. Will it succeed or fail. He usually failed here.
Barkley never did much against us when in NY. So will that continue.
Will we get to see the Dak / Hurts matchup we did not see last year. Will the implosion for the Eagles continue as it ended last year. Probably not, all has most likely been reset.

Commanders:
They should be improved some, but I do not see a huge leap. But I can see tough games from them. They will be fired up with the changes and DQ will have them pumped up. It depends on how quick Daniels grasps the NFL speed the game.

Giants:
They have too many issues still. However 2 years ago they did surprise and made the playoffs. Then the wheels fell off last year. So which team will they be this year.

No team, including Dallas really has improved nor got worse. In spite of what many on here say.
And Dak owns the NFCE, and no reason for that to change.

Most likely it will come down to Dallas and Philly. I give the edge to Dallas, because they are the current NFCE champs. Just as I did going into last year, I gave the edge to Philly, since they were the current champs going into the season. I do that every year unless a team changed drastically.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Washington get second in the division. In fact, my prediction is that either Dallas or Philly will not finish in the top 2 in the NFC East. I am leaning that Dallas finishes third, but I think Philly has a lot of questions as well. They were just more proactive trying to fix their holes this offseason.

I don't think this is 'our year'. Wouldn't be shocked if we were 3rd in the NFCE this year.

I would be shocked if the Giants are ahead of us, though.
I wouldn't, things happen!

Maybe they're an improvement more so against us than other teams in the league (Giants/Washington)

usually agree with your takes, or at least can see the logic, but can't disagree more. just saying "wagner doesn't matter" doesn't really offer anything. of course he does, but if you're not a fan, then how about frankie luvu? stud. offers pass rush juice from lb. speaking of having "no pass rushers" they have typically generated their pressure from the interior, and still have their anchors and added newton, who has done well rushing from dt himself. then they poached fowler and armstrong from us who while not world beaters, definitely are capable passrushers, and specifically when deployed by quinn.

there defense will be interesting to follow, but again, zero chance theyre terrible or worst in the league. just none. last year they were a team falling apart, lame hc, owner drama, talent sellers etc. but we will see

They have not generated pressure, even with Sweat and Chase last year. Payne and Allen are not good rushers. Allen ranked 17 in PRWR last year at 12% (for comparison, Osa ranked 4th at 18%). Payne didn't do well enough to get into the top 20. Maybe Newton is good, maybe he isn't. Armstrong, Fowler and Ferrell are not passrushers when there is not a Micah Parsons to attract attention all the time. Neither Cowboy was ever consistently effective, and that was as rotational pieces. With high volume, they're bottom of the barrel in the league. Luvu and Wagner play non-impact positions and were both on terrible defenses last year. Wagner can't cover and if Luvu is a rusher, it means lots of blitz packages, and their corners are going to be exposed.

Plus, they won't be able to throw the football because they have only 1 receiving threat (and Daniels is far from ready-made) and their RBs are pedestrian. They are going to be abysmal. They might win 6 games, but it's because they have a soft schedule. There are some things to be optimistic about in the future (culture change, Daniels), but that's going to take years to matter on the field. They're an entire coaching staff and 52 players away from being optimistic about on-field relevance and their lack of playmaking on both sides of the ball is going to result in a LOT of points surrendered.
