What the hell was Dak throwing at here?

He had a man open on the right around the 30. Once he was flushed I'm assuming the play is to look for that deep route and he couldn't get set in time to deliver a good pass.
His primary reads were obviously to the eft as all of his WRs routes basically were on the left side.

If you pay attention to Cook, he had leverage outside from the snap and nobody behind him, but Dak throws it way late, enough for even the safety to recover.

The problem here is Dak was looking in the area the Whole time, meaning he didn’t need to make any complex decisions on where to throw.

Lol no way he is good enough. He is 0-3 against SF WITH two really terrible games. Let it go man. He is not good enough. Just mediocre and that’s a stretch
Your definition of good team is exclusively teams that the Cowboys lose to. It's a stupid argument.

49ers are better than we are pretty much across the board, including at QB.

Tough pill to swallow.

We had a shot to beat them in 2021 because Dak was better than Jimmy.

Brock Purdy's the truth though. An elite QB they stumbled upon. Shout-out @RonnieT24 for his hilarious assessment of Brock leading up to the game.
Last time he gave an assessment (last year) he disappeared for a few weeks.

I see that. He never looks right. When his back foot hits everyone on the left side of the field appears covered. Instead of dumping it off or coming back to the right he runs left, maybe hoping to buy time. Problem is, as we both stated, he throws it way too late. Maybe that is what he is being coached to do. The play wasn't really any harm in the end.

When Prescott as a rookie did what Purdy is doing, all I heard is it was because of all the talent around him.

Purdy shows a lot of poise and good decision-making, but the skill position talent on SF is absurd and he's throwing to guys wide open, with no defender within 10 yards. I've rarely seen him have to make truly tough throws. That offense is so good that all he has to do is not screw it up.
He hit no tight window throws last night, he played good but yeah his targets where WIDE open, shannahan was pulling DQ's seat out from under him all night last night.

He made the right read and throw, just a bad one. He moved from the pocket due to pressure but set up too late. $40million QB cannot make that mistake.

Reminds me of last week on 4th down. Ferguson was wide open across the middle. It looked like Dak saw him and just… didn’t throw the ball. He took a sack and we turned it over.

He’s shot.

He got ran off his spot, but he needed to reset and throw a better ball. Dude seemed scared or something.
It looks like he saw the guy coming up to hit him. That should have been a td.

If Tyron doesn’t get beat so quickly he would have been able to sit there and throw it to cooks who had warned beat. Not really Dak fault here. Oline was trash.
Good lord please watch the play again. At one point Ceedee was 9/10 yards open and Dak had nobody within 7 yards of him at the exact same time. This is PATHETIC

he threw it to the right guy he missed...if he would've thrown it to CD everyone would be yelling "HOW DID HE NOT SEE COOKS!!!"

The problem as always is that Dak can't "throw receivers open"

Dak should have thrown that ball at the 0:08 second mark when Brandon Cooks is making his cut towards the sidelines but for some reason Dak has to SEE the WR open before he throws the ball and that gives the Corner backs time to close the gap

Look at Brock Purdy throwing the ball with anticipation on that crossing route over Vander Each outstretched arms, when Purdy threw the ball, ayuk wasn't "Dak Prescott open" but Purdy threw with accuracy and anticipation

again not taking anything away from Purdy but the SF weapons were empty parking lot open all night and multiple ones on plays...

He was throwing to the popcorn guy who was in the 6th row of the stands. He couldn't even hit him
