Jemele Hill

Papi or whatever the hell his name is on that horrendous ESPN show

Wendy (my wife will watch the news on whatever channel she’s on and when I come home and turn on the tv around the same time every day the first thing I see is it’s face, I’ve literally yelled out loud several times and have almost thrown the remote at the screen)

Tony Romo (sorry, just being honest)

Phil Simms

The Kardashians - the whole lot of them: mother, daughters, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, second cousins.

I am mean it about the Kardashians, but on a more serious note when, how and why did our TV news media - conservative, liberal, doesn't matter - devolve into screaming matches? Until I retired a couple of years ago, I had spent the bulk of my working career outside the US and and a considerable amount of that time in developing countries. I relied on the BBC, the London Times, the International Hearald Tribune, the Wall Street Journal and, occasionally, CNN International for news about the states.

Image my disappointment and shock (with the news media) to return to the states in the midst of the 2016 election.

Mind you, this isn't a political comment, just an observation about news reporting.

Is hating Oprah a thing? That meat dealio she did was nonsense, but aside from that I'm finding it hard

She gives away cars and is a master at interviews

Did I miss something?

(Not directed at OP who brought her up; legit question, fill me in)

She does not pay for those cars.
Sponsors do. Ultimatly other consumers do.

Okay, fine. I haven't heard that, and assumed since she is a billionaire she just did it as a tax write off, but still...

is the hate for her the spill over from that horrid stance she took on the meat industry/farmers a decade or so ago? It was bad, really bad, but she backed off if I remember correctly?

I am absolutely being sincere.

I think she is a master at interview. As good as Walters, Rose, Sam Jones, King, etc.

What did I miss, I'm way out of the loop, PM me if it's something that is iffy rules related, LBF

Katie Couric(Biggest fake who will ask some snide dirty question and when caught she smiles like she is some innocent little girl)

Anyone on MSNBC or CNN

Alec Baldwin(Note- he is in the new Mission Impossible movie and even the posters do not to show him as part of the cast. They know he is hated).

Oprah(what a self absorbed in love with herself idiot. Atleast if she stays somewhat skinny which means men are safe because if she gets fat, IT'S ALL MENS FAULT).

You wanna hear my solution for the malaise in this country? Oh, sure you do, don't be that way, frowns cause wrinkles.

In order for any tv station or cable news network to have a license, and they should all be licensed and held to standards to continue in business, they have to balance every negative story with a positive one. Pollyanna, right? The imbalance of the negative driving their delivery or the cable nets going after opposing parties is making this country sick. Hope is at an all time low and the confidence in the future has never been lower, even during the great wars.

This swaying the minds of people that CNN and Fox news do is counterproductive because the problem is they can. Who is checking on these people and their facts to authenticate them? They are allowed to slant the story in whatever direction they want leading to more ignorance on the part of the viewers and narrowing the minds to hatred.

It would not be easy to police but it would slow this movement to brainwash people on both sides.

I am a literal person and the word despise is a very strong term for me. Do fictional television personalities count?

Yes. I am dead serious.

There is one real life television personality that I despise. She is the co-news anchor of my local CBS affiliate. I have often thought about posing a clip from one of her newscasts to read the first impressions of people here thought of her lol.

I think I want to change my username and avatar to SpungeBob and message you ever day.

Don't really watch TV, but yeah Seacrest for sure.

Pretty much ALL political talking heads. Or any "supposed" News show. None of them are news, they are all lying *** opinion shows. REAL News shows in the US doesn't exist anymore.

Actually, pretty much everyone.

I'm with you brother, I'm not a fan, but I respect her.

Seacrest doesn't bother me, but Carson Daly annoys the Hell outta me.
