What was different today vs Rams?

The Rams came out flat like we generally have all season. Looked just like us. Nothing could go right. That’s all. That’s how the Jets can beat us, and Miami can beat Philly.

The players came to work prepared today and did their jobs.

No stupid mistakes or turnovers!!

This was a big part of it. Much more effective run game today too. The defense was the baffling part - I don’t know how they looked so different than they have. Still had problems defending screen passes, but they shut everything else down.

All three phases (O, D, ST) played up to their abilities for an entire game...and the play-calling didn’t suck. Unlike the rest of our games against quality opponents.

We’re now a .500 team in the league’s worst division, where 7-9 could still make the postseason.

Happy we’re still in the hunt, but this is — so far — an underachieving team.

7-9 can’t make the postseason because after next week either the Cowboys or Eagles will have 8 wins.

Well, um, 7-9 definitely CANNOT make the postseason. 7-8-1 is the worst that could make the postseason this year.
