What Was In The Pictures For Garrett and Romo To Look At After The 2 Fades?...

If it's as simple as counting up defenders in the box, then I guess we're going to be seeing more of this. You mean defenses are going to put everyone around the line when we're at the one? No wai!

Ugh. Out on the field, that's fine. When you're at the one and you have Leonard Davis and an improving fullback, just pound it in. It's one yard!

I agree. I had no issue with taking the shot with RW on the fade on 2nd down once that failed I felt Dallas should ram it down the Panthers throat.

Roy Williams breaks a barrier, part 2

We made reference to this during the game and mentioned it to Roy Williams after the game - for the first time as a Cowboy he had more than three catches in a game.

He had four for 75 against Carolina.

"Now we're just trying to get 100 yards one of these days," Williams said. "I'm always a guy it doesn't matter what my stats are, it's about the Ws. I come from Detroit. A win, I love it."

Williams is still looking for his first home touchdown throw from Tony Romo, and nearly ahd it Monday but he could not come down with the alley-oop throw.

"He's 4-foot-2," Williams said of Carolina corner Richard Marshall. "I just figured he'd throw it high and let me [Larry] Fitzgerald the guy, but he threw it on a rope. I've still got to catch the ball."

Maybe they were looking at hot chicks in the crowd?

The first one to Roy was a decent shot.

I honestly thought that lining up for the 3rd down they would run it, but as soon as they motioned Bennet out I knew they were going to throw it.

The endzone fade rout is something the Cowboys need to practice more. RW has the ablility and size for that play and has been successful doing it in his career.

I think Romo had the option on both plays,he basically said as much during his post game press conference(sais defensive alignment dictated pass).Roy should have made the play on the first attempt, the attempt to Martellus had no shot at all.On the play to Marty I wish a running play to the perimeter would have been called,Carolina sold out to defend the interior of the line against the run.

The 3rd down pass to Bennett was a great call. Not working doesn't change that.

Dallas had an extremely large, athletic TE one on one with a linebacker on the outside with no defender in position to help. Teams work long and hard studying film and gameplanning to get situations like that.

Proper execution and everyone's on here marveling at the genius of Garrett, the mismatches that two TEs create....

Worked or not, I would not be marveling at anything!

Boneheaded is what that is!

Romo does not throw the fade pattern all that well in fact the one to Williams is probably the best I have seen him throw

Very true observation.

Roy outjumped the defender but the DB was putting the hand in between the ball and managed to get the pass incomplete. It could have helped a bit if it was in the corner of EZ.

But the next pass to Bennett was a disaster, both QB and the receiver were to be blamed. You would assume they would practice these . Sigh ! :(
