Was it the win itself?

Nope. Was it picking up the flag on Hitchens?

Nope. Was it the number of poor throws by Romo?

Nope. Was it the fact a 300 pound Governor couldn't get his arms around a 72 year old owner?

Nope. It was the fact this team had a pass rush in the 4th Quarter. Some of that is the rotation Marinelli plays and some of it was Detroit playing obvious passing sets. But Lawrence, Crawford and Spencer all had big plays in crunch time and two of those guys figure to start next year. It was the most unexpected thing in this game IMO and a good sign for the rest of this playoff season.

Some things of the time of my mind:
  • When down I was sorta of silently expecting Romo to force a ball. It never happened. Kudos to Romo
  • Great play by Beasley. For the maybe the 1st I saw what others have been saying they've been seeing in that he can actually be a VERY good slot WR in the NFL. Up this point I mainly thought he was benefiting from the fact that defenses where geared up stop the run, Dez, Witten, etc
  • Surprised by the brass ones on JG on the 4th down play. I was a cynic but I actually am starting to think this guy is improving
  • Was shocked at the offensive line giving up 6 sacks to a Lions defense that never put a finger on Rodgers last week. That was discouraging
  • Same with the running game. It looked pretty much like it did all of December with Murray averaged 3.9 - 4.0 ypc. Its a bit of an alarming metric.

That we were playing tight to start the game. Took to 2nd half to get going.

I think we didnt expect the lions to blitz us,we were caught by surprise early on and had no answer, this oline had got better at handling stunts but they regressed badly in this game.

Half the sacks were on Romo, not bashing but Romo does hold on to the ball too long. Romo did avoid the stupid INT he now needs to learn to throw a ball away when he has nothing.

The way we started the game surprised me. The team looked lost on both sides of the ball.

Then coming back from 14-0. This team never, ever quits.

The difference in the play of the team after the missed Baily FG. I don't know what sparked them but the defense only held Detroit to 3 points in the second half
