What was the last trick play Garrett called?

Forgive me if it was recently because I haven't been able to watch the entirety of any game that starts at 3:15.

When was the last time Garrett called a trick play? For that matter, when was the first time?

It seems like we don't have them in our arsenal.

And for those who think they're lame or for loser teams, San Diego is pretty stinkin' good and they aren't too embarrassed to use them.

Define trick play for me. I consider any type of fake Draw like the TD pass to Austin a trick play.

He must be part of the Drew Bledsoe/Terry Glenn flea-flicker crowd.

The double fake pass to Roy for a TD was beautiful.

I hate that formation/play. I'm also very weary of slow-developing draws featuring Marion Barber.

I really like running the football from under center because of what it does for keeping the defense honest not only with the run, but the play-action pass. When you're in shotgun, the defense can play downhill, even against the draw because it can only go one way: straight up the gap. From under center you can toss/sweep left/right, run off tackle left/right, dive left/right, counter left/right, use misdirection...

Frustrating season.

Getting Jerry on the hook for his huge contract as assistant head coach & OC.

that is the trick of all tricks!

but on the field his base running attack is hinged on his shotgun draw fake. then fans wonder why we cant' get a yard in 3 downs trying to run up the opponent's gut. smug geniuses don't need "trick plays like flea-flickers, etc. (ie. a trick play like what Norv scorched the boys early on)

Delay draws are NOT trick plays. Play-action is not a trick play.

Something like where the TE blocks down, falls down, gets back up to recieve a pass like in the Parcells era.

A HB pass or a flea-flicker counts too.

Last trick play JG called? When he tricked Jerry Jones into making him the highest paid assistant coach.

I think it was the third hand off to Barber from the one yard line because I define a trick play as one that no one expects. :D

Who is Jason Garrett? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Jerry Jones tell it, anybody could have worked for Garrett. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. And like that, poof. He's gone.

I really think Garrett believes he still has the 2007 squad, so he thinks he can just "out execute" teams. Okay JG, that concept may work against the Seahawks and the Raiders, but you see what the result is when he tries the same concept against elite teams like San Diego. He needs to mix-in a couple trick plays like flea-flickers or WR reverses because this team just isn't that good.

lol its got to the point that we think of simple play actions as trick plays.

Garretts philosiphy about being predictable is fine. I like it. But at some point you have to throw the curve ball.

Everyone is now so focused on the obvious that Garrett could really be shooting fish in a barrel if he would go out of his norm for awhile.

Yea that's what i'd consider a trick play as well. Trick plays are gimmicks. Gimmicks get you nowhere in sports.
