I think it was the third hand off to Barber from the one yard line because I define a trick play as one that no one expects. :D
thought the same! good one:laugh2:

I believe he snuck up behind Phillips, gave him a weggie and ran, to which Wade replied, " Shucks."

It rarely works. And then when it works then what? If you have to rely on a trick play to score than what happens when you need more scores? You can't do the trick play again because the defense is ready for it. Not a fan of it. Especially the flea flicker. I saw the Saints do a fake field goal and it was the dumbest play i've ever seen a coach winning do this season and yea that includes Bellicheat.

Define trick play for me. I consider any type of fake Draw like the TD pass to Austin a trick play.

Agree. I think his BEST play call of the year was the fake pitch and pass to Roy Williams last week.

Forgive me if it was recently because I haven't been able to watch the entirety of any game that starts at 3:15.

When was the last time Garrett called a trick play? For that matter, when was the first time?

It seems like we don't have them in our arsenal.

And for those who think they're lame or for loser teams, San Diego is pretty stinkin' good and they aren't too embarrassed to use them.

You must be referring to the "strong side run for turn over on downs"
otherwise known as the forfeit.

he had some shenanigans called out of the razorback in the KC game where Romo started coming back inn towards Felix who took the handoff from Choice. that was probably a pass but of course Flozell had to false start on the play so we'll never know

Jason Garrett's Best Playcalls This Season:

1. The double move that Austin scored on against the Eagles.
2. The fake pitch and TD pass to Roy Williams.
3. The playaction draw and TD pass to Austin yesterday.

I remember that. That was the first Razor that looked like it was going to be a pass. That pissed me off that we didn't get to see what it could've been. On another note, when was the last time Flozell got a false start? Or maybe I'm just so use to them I don't even notice anymore lol.

I think these 3 plays were execution though. On that first one Romo sold that pump fake perfectly as he did on that fake toss to Roy last week. As far as #3 goes, just seemed like a generic Garrett play to me.

I guess what I mean is that those playcalls actually fooled the defense. The majority of his calls since Green Bay haven't fooled anyone, regardless of the execution.

Should have run it at least one of the plays where we got our behind stuffed 4 straight plays.

Yesterday, when Gurode snapped the ball to Choice in the Razorback/Yellowjacket before Choice called for the snap smelled like it was going to be a trick play.

Choice ran for 4, but it sure did look like they had something different in mind.

I'm basing this on how Choice went off on Gurode. Of course, Choice may have just been pissed that one of his few plays almost got wasted again by an offensive lineman.

Speaking of trick plays. The Chargers had a trick play that worked.

LT lines up at QB, Rivers splits out wide...

Maybe it's just me but *WHYYYYY* is Newman playing nearly 10-13yds off of the QB?? Was he afraid of the QB burning him down the field?

OR...did Newman just not realize that the QB was split out as a WR?

Seems that on a play like that, why not step up and jam the QB, you have 5yds, "hold" him in place, get in his way, anything to disrupt him as an option on the play. At the snap, Newman just stands there as Rivers turns and runs in. Vincent Jackson was not looking to turn this into a run and go upfield. He was looking for Rivers all the way. By that point, if Newman is on Rivers, Jackson has to run up field (into blockers) or chuck it (probably out of bounds).

You can see this 2 ways: Either Newman was taken out of the play or Newman took himself out of the play.
