I stopped having a landline back in the mid-90s when I moved out of the house after high school.
I think I've been ahead of curve in calling out these predatory for-profit vocational schools (e.g. schools for medical assistants, veterinarian techs, et cetera). They prey on folks that have no business going to school, luring them in with the promise of getting them lucrative jobs quickly. These people take out $40-50K private loans with insane interest rates for jobs they'll be lucky to make $12-14 an hour. Further, these schools pump out students which floods the job market and lowers earning potential.
It's just bad news.
