The first thing Garrett should do is fire the Offensive Coordinator:D

I can see the first 2, but not McGee. If anything he will give McGee a little mop up duty to give him some experience and maybe down the road give him a start or two.

McGee can't be any worse than Kitna. What do you think JG will accomplish with Kitna?

If anything, he shows he's in charge if he starts McGee. If McGee flops then you start Kitna. But Jason can be grooming his back up quarterback... just in case he gets in a bind with a Romo injury next year... just in case Jerry actually leaves him as the coach.

Either way, Kitna isn't going to win you many games and JG likely won't be here next year. But he could show the league he can make a 1-7 team better with a young quarterback.

He could start by benching a couple of high dollar players that have no business starting like Davis and Barber.

It's not that I think there is a lot to gain by playing Kitna, but there is certainly something to be lost by rushing in a player that you don't think is ready. I feel like a broken record, but McGee was drafted as a project, and the team had an anticipated precess of development for McGee. Having a losing season does not mean we should sacrifice a developmentl player by abandoning the plan of development and thrwoing him to the dogs behind an O-line that Peyton Manning may not be able to play behind. Getting him killed isn't going to help his development.

I agree with this. I think we would have lost Romo if Parcells had put him in when everyone was screaming for him to (and Romo himself has alluded to that). Just because there there is a window to play a young QB doesn't mean its a good idea.

McGee was reportedly having trouble pulling the trigger downfield. That doesn't bode well once DCs figure that out in a game or two and take all that away from him.

Besides, I'm more interested in developing Dez then I am McGee, and Kitna gives him more opportunities downfield to progress.
