Nevertheless, the Cowboys have a much larger chance of playoff success if they are playing consistent, mistake free football at the end of the regular season instead of penalty filled, turnover happy, inconsistent ball.

Regardless of how poorly the team has played up to this point in the season, Dallas has the same opportunity to "play consistent, mistake free football at the end of the regular season" as any other team. There have been nearly yearly examples of such happening during this CBA/free agency/parity-enforced era than in any other before it.

5-0?
4-1?

Beat Oakland today, go to 8-3
If we then beat the Giants, Commanders, Eagles.
That puts us at 11-3
If we lose to SD, which I think we beat them on our own field.
Lose to NO, but of course, hope we beat them.
Even if we lose to SD, at 11-5, that gives us the Division.

Improve the offense until it is again putting up the 30-ppg it was before.

Be balanced and attacking and dictating to the defense.

The defense continues to play at a high level and becomes stifling for the opponent.

Win the turnover battle each week.

NY Giants

Washington
Philadelphia

Head into the play-offs getting better each week.

If this team does these things then this season will be headed in the right direction. We will have a shot because we won the East.

Hell, if we achieve all of that, we might as well beat New Orleans too.

How about simply playing well. If we get beat by a good team simpley because we played well but they made one or two more plays, I can live with that. I can't live with what we've been seeing the past two weeks.

A playoff win would quiet some..........but let's face it, we have high expectations in Dallas. This team has the talent and ability to go to the superbowl but unless consistency is there that will not happen. When the consistency breaks down the boo birds come out.
