What would be the most watched Super Bowl?

The two most watched Super Bowls ever were the Seahawks ones. So either they’re bigger than Dallas, or teams matter little in the grand scheme of world audience

An Eagles fan, trying to downplay the Cowboys’ ratings impact. Shocking.

Not without Tom Brady. The Pats lost a lot of their luster when he moved on. All the players that made them great are gone. Mac Jones vs Dak Prescott isn’t going to excite fans.
No really great match ups.
The Squealers have lost their luster too with Big Ben's retirement.

The Steelers lost their luster long before Ben retired. The Rams would be a good SB match up against any of the top AFC teams KC and Buffalo because they would be the first team attempting to repeat since the Pats. Plus the Rams have a lot of star power.

Dallas and KC would be the biggest matchup. Dallas and the Raiders would likely be #2.

Pittsburgh Dallas was watched by 57.7m people

The following year, Oakland Minnesota garnered 62m people.

Later, you had a super bowl where you played Denver and it was watched by 78m people.

The very next year PIT-DAL was at 74m.

Then a year later PIT-LA was more successful at 76m.

Then Two years later, SF-CIN broke 85m, two teams who had no fanbases at the time.

But if you want to blame me for that, I accept

SB gets absurd ratings more for the commercialization than the teams. How many people really say they’ve never seen a SB that didn’t involve their team? Woman and kids in Sri Lanka watch SBs who don’t even know who any NFL teams are. Two most watched SBs ever are the Seattle ones, that tells you just about everything you need to know.

Maybe conference championship games would be a better gauge
Whether it's steadfast fans through their passionate single-team following \ always enjoy the NFL season from September through now mid-February (ugh!!) \ wagering purposes \ opportunity to host-attend get-togethers & parties \ view the pregame & halftime shows ....people tune in around the planet Earth ('Women and kids in Sri Lanka -LOL-LOL) to take part viewing the game --plus the extravaganza surrounding it.
Why care or be concerned about what drives other people to watch?

Six and half months from now - I'm tuning in to Super Bowl LVII - no matter which teams are the AFC & NFC Champions - because I would have indirectly followed their journey through watching the NFL season and the Dallas Cowboys.

1)Where does this ISIS crap come from?
2)Do you actually think “I am watching you” concerns anyone? At all?

You were not the one I saw looking thru me window while I practiced my dance moves?

You hate America, ISIS!
We are watching you.

The concept of the thread may be misguided, that’s where the concern lies. Why people have the motivations they do is not for me to judge

Cowboys vs Steelers, Cowboys vs Kansas City, Cowboys vs Raiders. The Bills are not there in terms of fans (loyal but small). New England had lost some luster with Brady gone.

Tampa versus New England ---- Brady vs Bellicheck

You hit the nail on the head nobody cares about any of these other flash in the pan teams players or coaches.

This is so simple it shouldn't even be a question. The quarterback with the most super bowl wins against the coach with the most super bowl wins.

The best storyline the media could ever possibly hope to hype how couldn't it be the biggest super bowl ever

If the Cowboys had ever encountered Brady's Patriots I think that would've set the mark. Alas, as we all know, that never happened.

Absent that, another Cowboys-Steelers Super Bowl would likely draw one hell of an audience.

Yeah Dallas vs Steelers would draw big time... Both teams considered big heart and soul of America teams.

Dallas actually as America's team, and Steelers still carrying that blue collar steel mill, hard working American history.

Not blaming you, just saying I’m not surprised an Eagles fan is spending time downplaying Dallas’ ratings impact. While I haven’t (and probably won’t) researched individual games, my point remains—Dallas is a ratings leader, always, 27 years removed from their last Super Bowl.

IF, Dallas made the Superbowl again, it wouldn't matter who their opponent was, the ratings would surpass all Superbowls of the past.
Right! the next time the Cowboys appear in a Super Bowl would shatter all ratings because so many viewers wouldn't believe it without seeing it for themselves. Sad but true.

1)Dance moves?!? Really?!?
2)You still won’t tell anyone where you get the whole, insanely stupid ISIS crap.
3)Who’s “we”, and why are they watching? Why should it concern anyone?

You say a lot of “clever” words that don’t mean anything to anyone but you, but you can’t seem to answer a simple question.

But, old fellow, I can always get a reaction out of you.:)
But don't get angry or stay angry.

Learn to love America despite you being ISIS. Ask the state department to furlough you under me auspices or I can be your guardian until you learn to love America 'tis of thee!

Got it?
OK, then.

Um, not to burden your further, but what did you think about me modern dance moves? Don't be hesitant to offer praise or constricted criticism.

I think that still remains the only time two teams met 3 times in the SB.
Yes, it still is the only case. And given that only thirty Super Bowls had been played as of that time, it would be almost as if the Cowboys and Steelers had met almost 6 times in the Super Bowl by now.

I can always get a reaction out of you! I ask a simple football question, and you launch into that ridiculous, worn out ISIS baloney. Who’s angry? I’m amused and mildly curious as to why you can’t answer a simple question. Are you that delusional, or simply deflecting because you don’t have a viable answer? If you’re really a British intellectual (which I don’t think you are), then YOU’RE the foreigner. Maybe YOU’RE the anti-American, huh?
