Do we need more physical WR'S that can go get the ball, better rbs, or a more athletic tight end?? What would help??

O LINE we already know
They don't need anything. The issue is totally overblown.

For starters, STOP throwing that God awful fade pattern. It's a waste of a down and works once every 25 attempts. Second, have Dak use his legs more on some QB keepers. Finally, more play action tosses to our TEs.

Sconemaker needs to hold on to the ball. And not sure who is at fault (Broaddus thinks it was Pollard) but if Pollard and Dak didn't screw up the handoff, that would have been an easy TD.

Romo and his back shoulder throws to Dez…….I never see back shoulder throws from Dak really.…..it’s quite the tool in the redzone but don’t see it from us.

We went and spent our 2nd round pick on the best run blocking TE in the draft as well as brought in a Fullback. Run the dang ball

The Play Design and Play calling is mediocre.
Some are not gonna here this, but Kellen Moore was a great deal better than McCarthy in the red zone area.

People here griped and complained about the OL last year too, even though we were still tops among the
entire NFL in red zone efficiency. So apparently they are gonna always gripe and use the OL as an excuse.

Dunno if it's a Aaron Rodgers favorite of McCarthy's , but he sure seems infatuated with these WR fades;
even though they are low percentage, difficult plays.

But Kellen Moore wasn't intelligent enough to make in -game adjustments according to the flow of the game and situational football.

No.
He runs like he's running in mud.
Dak has good speed and has looked great scrambling. I don't know what you're seeing.
One thing that he has been missing has been his using his leg.

I'd say letting the offense jail, better line play at the goalline.
We've also had like 3-4 drops in the endzone (looking at you tight ends)

A real power running back.
Now you're talking we need a closer a finisher a guy that's not afraid of contact and will lower his head and not be denied.
We need a Marion Barber type guy to finish drives off in that area

You're right. They should all be thrown in jail.

More creativity in our offense between the 20's. The defense tightens up in the red zone, unfortunately so do we. I think O line boo boos are a problem too. Tyrons injury replacement #71 makes key mistakes that cost us. Tyler is playing RG now instead of RT in Tyrons absence because #71 misses run and pass blocks making him a huge liability.
I love your first line lol

Offensive line getting healthy. Has our offensive line played a game this year together?
whichever Oline combinations we’ve had on the field has facilitated the offense moving well up and down the field. Why would they suddenly and inexplicably fail to be good when we get inside the 20?

doesn’t make sense. It’s clearly something else.

and if the coaches haven’t figured out why, how would any of us sofa sitters know?

I know the red zone issues are a problem. But I’m not as worried about it as some. Honestly, some of what I read on this forum is simply overreaction to a problem I expect will get better as the season progresses. The team is moving ball down the field very well. It’s harder to score as you get closer to the end zone in the NFL.

I’m not saying it’s not a problem at all but with the way most teams handle the preseason nowadays, I see the first 4 games of a 17 game season as somewhat of an extension of the PS. In a way, I see the game in SF as the true beginning of the regular season. I will worry more if this is still a problem the rest of October.

This is a new offense, lots of new skill position players, lots of early injuries among the OL and there’s even been two drops in the end zone that would have been TDs. Again, not dismissing this altogether but it’s way too early to be pushing any panic buttons.

And Finally….I also believe Big Mac has been holding some cards for the SF game. We will see.

  1. TEs catching the Touchdown passes that hit them in the hands
    • I think we are up to 3-4 dropped TDs by the TEs alone right now
    • It wouldn't completely fix the RZ issues, but it hasn't helped either
  2. Make sure to block the DE/Edge players on all plays, especially on Play Action plays
    • I mean, you don't want to gift wrap sacks for the other team ... right?
  3. Heck if I know
