What would it take for you to buy back in on Sunday?

Buy in? For me— I need to see this team do two things for me to buy in and have hope again:

1. Show tough, consistent, fundamentally sound competitive play against top teams in the regular season.

2. Win multiple games in the postseason. Period.

Anything short of that is exactly the kind of returns we have already received over the last 28 years and counting.

The L against GB followed by the beatdown NO just gave us gives me ZERO confidence that this franchise has figured anything out. I am prepared for yet another humiliating end to a clown show season followed by more “awww shucks, we were THIS CLOSE!!!” excuse-making from this FO.

Bring in a new HC, sell Hopium to the masses. Wash, rinse, and repeat.

This is the Cowboys Way under Emperor Skeletor

Doesn’t take very long for me to find something else to read than a lot of what is posted on this board. If I didn’t know better I would think I would think that I mistakenly tapped on the Bleeding Green Nation board. And this is coming from a fan from 1967. I get just as disappointed as most folks on here but I refuse to pull for any other NFL team. The Cowboys are my team of choice! Got that flak jacket on so I’m ready for the negative comebacks!

Fire Mike now and make Al Harris the interim today. At least there'd be interest and hope. We have neither today.

If we lose fire, Mike McCarthy and the entire offensive staff.

No!!! Never!!!

That's why no matter how much I berated Romo's "Hollywoodism" during his early prime years, I never once ever wished harm to him. Anyone who does that should be banned!
I don't wish harm on anyone either. Dak vs. Romo, though, Dak really isn't any better if you have listened to his comments leading up to his big pay day. For as much as Romo craved the celebrity limelight, Dak craves money. His comments about trying to get the biggest contract 'for the brotherhood' and not needing to 'set the market' were red flags in my opinion.

Stat wise, Romo and Dak are near carbon copies of each other. They are good enough to make noise in the regular season, but never go enough to get anywhere in the playoffs when the competition is much tougher. So why was Dak demanding to be paid like he's won 10 straight super bowls by himself? Because he's greedy. My guess is he thinks this is his last NFL contract, so why not try to take Jerry to the cleaners for every penny he could get out of him. And stupid Jerry fell for it.

In the end Dak got his bag - good for him. But the rest of the team gets to suffer to the tune of 44-19 butt whoopings. Clearly Jerry needed to add some defensive help over the past offseason, but Dak's demands made that near impossible.

Some measure of resistance towards the opposing run game...

That would be a nice start...

100% agreed!

I've said the same. Super greedy and lying Dak! The pattern we are seeing is the rest of our playmakers are turning out the same way. They don't care about the team as much as they ultimately want top position paid contracts.

I would need to see someone brand new step up and become a star. Like overshwon with 3 sacks or mazi smith with 4 touchdown catches or something liek that.
1 game does not sway me.

To buy back in, I'd have to see smart drafting that builds the DLine and gets us out of this utterly ridiculous RB by committee crapp.

I'm all in so I don't need to buy back in, I'm never out. 2 games , 2 weeks of competition and people are having a fit like it's the end of the season. We lost had our butts kicked royally, it didn't look good and as bad as ya'll feel the players, coaches and the whole organization feels worse. 15 more games to go, 2 games does not show you what this team will be by the end of the season, by 6/7th game we will have a good idea of what this team is.
These first 6 games if we finish 5-1, that's great, if we finish 4-2, that's good and if we finish 3-3 we might not finish 12-5 again, but maybe 11-7/10-7 but we will make the playoffs and see what happens from there. I say we will be no less than 4-2, but I don't believe we will lose another game until the next 6 games after the bye week
I think for a lot of people it isn’t about jsut wins and losses tho

I'm not on the field of play. When the Cowboys are facing SF and Deebo Samuel is out, are you happy? Did you "wish it into existence"? I'm not on TV, radio or running for office, I just told you what it would take for me to buy in. Translation: As long as Dak is behind center, I'm not bought in.
I'm not. I want us to beat SF w/ Deebo in. If we're not good enough to do that, get better players. Wishing opposing players get injured is weak, shows lack of character.

Only for him to be pushed out by Zimmer to be the next head coach in 2025

they swear they had the greatest idea in history, but like someone said WE WOUDLN'T HAVE HAD AMARI COOPER if we didn't have the WR by committee, get my drift???

Nah. Before sundays beat down I would have had zim in the in the ondeck circle. But if JJ wants to bring interest back at least take a swing for the next good young coach. Will he be great? No idea. But I know we are not winning anything with either Mike at HC.

Huh? No way, JJ only hires young coaches if he feels he raised them.
